To mr Litti so expensive parts for ciao moped? 🤨I bought a whole old one for about 200€, and i worked BUT like a bag of peanuts. So i fixed the carborator and change the spark plug anf it's run great.

Yo Luna we need more videos bro. Hope all is good tho. I stopped working on my moped 3 years ago cause I had my daughter. I’m back on it now I’m stuck with motobecane vlx 50 and I can’t get the f…..g clutch off so I’m contemplating drilling those washers out. I tried to vacuum, I turn the engine on variator side and banged it and those things are just laughing at me. I’ll get those lil ….ches. Hope to see you on your moped vibes soon.

Thanks for the video! I'm looking into a Ciao mainly for the design. I've just gotten into small engine bikes about a year ago, so I'm not super familiar with all the mechanical stuff. That said, I had a Yamaha Mate V50 (2 stroke 50cc). Stock alone I can easily reach about 63km / hour or 39 Mph. czcams.com/users/shortsFQQjVLRWg-E Just curious as to what are the mechanics to these machines. Still fun, though. Stator was so clean because the flywheel plastic cover (oval thing) was still on it fortunately! :D

One of the few Ciao bike video , that is detailed. I have one from 1978, all original but does not run. It was sitting in someone's yard under a tree. i found that the gas tank is very rusty. It's not rusted through. Any recommendations on cleaning the tank? Thanks in advance. Great job on the video.

Great turf/gravel tires. Will wear out quick on a street bike but will give you so much more confidence even on wet grass. I have the same / similar tires on NQ sprees, 2 SH50 Razz bikes and an Elite.

I have 1 that doesnt run. I was thinking of converting it to an electric e bike. I am not a fan of the gas/oil mix, and carbs. The best feature was the Vespa Leather saddle bags that came with it.

I have a 1986 Ciao, with the leading link front fork. I wish it had rear suspension. It's a real back pounder. I have hit 30 mph GPS on it. I also have a 1970 something Solex 3800, and have hit 21-22 mph on it.

If you completely restore it and keep it completely original with the original documentation you can sell that Piaggio ciao for around 1000€ here in Italy (where I live)

Good going on this build. We used to have 80cc running around when I was a kid in Italy. I would love to reconnect with the first motorized transport I ride at 14yo in Italy BUT 2T are no longer allowed in London, the ULEZ is right up behind my road and all the way into London.
