4 years ago I made the switch to run non ethanol gas in my lawnmower, snowblower, weed whacker, leaf blower and chainsaws and I haven’t had any carburetor issues and no starts in my machines since.

I have the same setup like you with the edgit for he last 5 yrs. No need for the edger anymore

Flip the blade over and try again, you are centering on the countersink or the burred edge, not the hole. Use two hands to hold the blade and move the magnet out, the way you do it has a chance to push the blade to the side. You said that you will grind 10 passes on the light side and 5 on the heavy, obviously you corrected yourself off camera.

All straight shaft are left hand thread on the head. And visa versa on the curved shaft.

5.75 is transport height. It also works for hot areas because we raise the deck incrementally as it warms up and some years you will wind up cutting very high to keep it green. The LG mower is not designed for short cuts unless you’re willing to set up the machine for that specifically. My recommendations, buy a ZK. The best stand on mower available and this year it’s 3rd generation is available. Gen 2’s are on a nice sale!

Yup… they had a cam problem with 2023 200cc engines… I have a 2013 Hrx217vka that hasn’t missed a beat! 11 years old, still runs and operates like a top!! I also have a 1994, yes, 30 year old John Deere 14PZ with aluminum deck and B&S engine… still running great!!

Great video. I have this thing and it's a game changer. If you're going to use this balancer, use it to perfection. The blade needs to be level exactly. 15 degrees is too much off. I can feel the difference in mine if it's 5 degrees off. Balance it like you're sending it to space! Your mower will thank you.

From what I’ve heard the Ballard blades have more lift than other regular blades. That being said your soil type and having Bermuda high lift definitely isn’t for you. Tbh I don’t even see many people running mulching blades in southern grass types besides st Augustine, you’d likely be better off running mid to low lift blades

Have the same HRX with blade stop and hydro trans. Where did you find the crate engine for it? Do you have the part number?

I buy Super Clean by the Gallon at Wally World and it usually lasts from 9 months to a year. Dilution for whatever you are cleaning is the key. 18:1 is a good safe all-around general-purpose cleaner. EDIT: I went and mixed up a bottle that I use for mower cleaning (I couldn't remember the ratio) and it is 5 parts water to 1 part Super Clean or 6 ounces of Super Clean in my 32-ounce spray bottle. It takes about half the bottle to do a seriously grimy mower and do make sure that you don't let it dry before rinsing well. It can remove the gloss from the mower paint (which isn't the greatest paint in the world, either). Scott Bley of Dallas Paint Correction ( www.youtube.com/@dallaspaintcorrectionautod8343 ) has some videos specifically about the usage of Super Clean. He doesn't post much on CZcams anymore, but the videos are still there, and he has tips and tricks that I never would have thought of. I mow first. I do not necessarily do my clean up pass the same every time. This results in different amounts of grass needing to be trimmed from week to week. I like to know what needs to be trimmed rather than try and predict it. I also mow weekly and have never had unsightly clipping issues if I trim every time I mow. I also feel that I would be trimming way more if I waited to mow after trimming.

I didn't see you install the safety between the cover and tank, that should be a large yellow cap with a hole in the center, it is there to stop a small child from falling in if some moron takes the cover off and walks away for some reason, it is code in most places to have this installed. .

I too have noted that the build quality of Honda mowers has diminished. I purchased my HRC 216-AD HXA (MZAN 6000001-6099999) in August of 1990, when the wheels had metal hubs. On the other hand, my brother-in-law has gone through at least a half-dozen cheap box store mowers in the past 30-years. Although my HRC 216 was $910 at time of purchase, I still believe I got my money's worth.

Just bought an identical set up. How long is the wear plate expected to last? Have you had to replace it very often?

Go back and look at your video a year ago. You tried Super Clean on one side of the mower and you did not care for it. Super Clean has always worked for me. You also were using a longer handle brush in the video.

And your crankshaft and bearings will be running dry with 100:1 ratio, its simply not enough oil, to properly lubricate bottom end. Don't believe me, tear it down and inspect bottom end, i do agree that Saber oil is great oil, but would only use it at air cooled engines, and 40:1 ratio... More rpm - more oil More load - more oil

Great info! I've got a ZT with a Kawasaki FR691V with only 20 hours. At start up it smokes lightly for about 15 seconds then runs clean. It doesn't really show oil loss on the dipstick tho. Running Amsoil small engine 15-50 in Florida. Do you think it's normal or may have an issue? Thanks.
