Can you make a video on how to change the battery. It would go with this one on how to open it.

I had problem with flying backward..forward and left or right was ok..I noticed burnt transistor marked ML5 on the board s107r3..aftee replacing tranistor heli is flying all directions..hope it help to somebody

Thank You, absoulute perfect !! I had to change both sticks , close to a poti failure on the throttle. I made the decision then to install two new sticks. After installation only the calibration has to be carried out . I have done this close to your description. Works fine and each stick is now ok again. by the way ... there is no more spektrum support for the dx6i ( no more spare parts .... ?? ) . i have purchased a set of new sticks, and now everething works again. Best Regards from Germany - nearby Frankfurt !!

I fitted a 1000mAh battery and it really extends flight time and has improved the COG and flight performance. It is still impossible to fly outside even in a minimal breeze; it has to be pretty stiil. The larger battery makes taking off into the hover a doddle now which does seem to indicate the COG was too far back. The cockpit is a tight fit though now and needs some velcro at the bottom to hold it in place. To improve forward speed I used a bit of heat to increase the pitch of the rear rotor which along with the improved COG has made a slight improvement in outdoor performance. I'now looking to fit a 75mm rear rotor in place of the 68mm one provided. The thing is it isn't really worth spending a lot of money on it as a much larger 80cm model is less than £35 on AliExpress and that has far superior outdoor performance.

Thank you very much for this video ! Very useful !!! I can´t understand that Horizon did not printed this calibration procedure in the manual those days. By the way, did some of you guys noticed that a checksum of the ROM and a Firmware-Date is displayed for a second or two after you use the special key combination and then disappears after you let go those two trim buttons, then the calibration menu is displayed. Might be helpful too for some of us to know how old the firmware is. Mine displays something from 2013...

Can't you just use trim buttons to get the arrows on the centre?

Hello sir. It does not work on mine dx6i. I follow the video step by step but the arrows always on the same spot. Quite off centre. Any idea?

You showed how to open the remote case and proved there is a battery in there, did you actually remove one?

Just saw what looked like a scene from the " Birds" hundreds of seagulls flying above our house and gardens. Yes a large colony of ants were taking to the sky at the same time. Seagulls were flying around like mad things with their mouths open.

Good tutorial video. 👍 I've recently bought a used GoPro remote for my Hero3 (about time I've got one as I do a lot of car onboard videos for my rally car). Now that I have it, I might as well learn about the battery replacement for when the times comes to replace the battery. Glad it wasn't that complicated to do it, similar procedure to iPod Nano 1st Gen (although that one doesn't use screws to secure the housing). Cheers 👍
