Both tracks sound like old songs that could have been on In God We Trust or on Michael's solo albums from the early 2000's. I'm not a big fan comparatively, from the last 4 or 5 albums.

I'm 63. I still enjoy Skillet. At first, I was not into this song, but I like more as I hear it more. Maybe people need to lighten up a little bit. They do have songs that are serious, but they also like to bust out songs that are just fun. And this is one of those. They aren't talking about being unpopular as a band. They are talking about the backlash that comes with taking a stand against things that the current mainstream culture supports. I respect them for that.

The band and song that pretty much defined all of extreme Christian metal.

Mortification is one of my favorite bands. I have been listening to them for decades. One of the things I love about them is that they fill the need for a Christian version of Sepultura, although they have a but of a variety through their catalog. This particular song reminds me more of Carcass.

Man, I love Shayne Smith. His conversion to Catholicism story is absolutely amazing. He told that during an interview with Matt Fradd and yes, he mentions Sleepy G and a few other Christian core bands (represent!). The interview in this clip is a good one too but I haven't seen all of it yet. It's interesting to see how he talks about "rock and roll Church" in contrast with Christian music as a whole. Good stuff!

So thankful for this band and EP. It was awesome to get to hear their take on it and the work that went it to it. By far my favorite band right now!! And to hear you guys talk about the focus on scripture and how you uploaded them to the spotify lyrics was awesome. My inner "word nerd" rejoiced! May God continue to utilize them and posture their hearts to serve and glorify him through the skills and talents that he has blessed them with! And thank you For the Rock/Kingdom Core! I saw a Facebook story about this recent Christian metal that has brought me many hours of listening since then. I was kind of stuck with music and have been jamming since coming across your pages. I thought Christian metal had faded after the myspace metalcore era...WRONG. Many blessings to Chris and Sean for the work that they put into these channels and for feeding us with the latest and greatest on the scene that allow us to hit our musical tastes while glorifying the father. The Fear Of God is great, I preordered the CD and I agree the album art is really cool. Sleeping Lotus is still my favourite but out of the new ones I really like Crucible, Swansong and of course the title track is just crazy. Swansong almost reminds me of Still Bleeding by Red interestingly enough, just the vibe and the kinda electronic elements thrown into it in the intro

Lead singer of Keyodis reminds me of Oh, Sleeper a lil bit

Literally, the first band in a while who are about Jesus and nothing else. I hope they will always speak up for the truth and share the gospel.🙏

The contrast/dynamic between Alexizz and Matthew is what makes the EP great.
