Welcome to Thunkworks. Thunkworks is what I have called my small home workshop and garage space. It is where I Make, Fabricate and create my projects and videos. I will be producing project videos of anything I create whether it be a practical project like my workbench or a sculpture out of scrap metal.

Moving away from the roses i already make, i wanted to create a sculptural piece that would look amazing displayed in someone's home. sweet work man polishing is an art and since cast alloy isnt too pure you have done a great job i suggest if you want to go further with it grab some diamond paste in different grits you will get it to as shiny as possible for cast
Thanks. Yeah ive avoided polishing in general for ages favoring a brushed or satin finish. Some things just look better shiny though. I could do with a second set of mops so i have ones for steel and one set for aluminium.

I did something similar but put the saw on a 30 degree angle for better visibility. I also custom set the depth of each wrench so it would be at the top of the rack and not in the middle. Yours is definitely more space efficient. Nice work!

Is the pistons soft are hard
They are aluminium so quite soft.
I enjoyed your video buddy and I think you're very skilled and your workshop is fab!! I have a similar workshop in my garage!! A TIG welder is a must though!!
Thank you. I have since moved all my metal working into my garage so keep the workshop free from sparks. Yes i tig welder is very high on my wish list.

What kinds of materials can we use to make that tapered torso/body?
I used a combination of mostly bearings for this one. Anything could be used though. Doesnt have to be round either.

What kind of glue did you use?
Just superglue but it could do with something stronger like two part epoxy really.
What respirator do you use?
This one is the same as a trend stealth p3. I don't actually like it that much. Much prefer the jsp force 8 face mask ive had in the past.
@@Thunkworks I assumed you would be using a mask for vapour not just particles. There does not seem to be much helpful information on the subject.
Welding fumes are mostly made up of particulars so a p3 or p3r filter is suitable for most applications. You can buy different filters for the jsp force 8 mask if more protection is needed.
