Every paddle looks amazing~🛶
you had me until i saw the picture on the site of the "guides" with all that gear on a yacht basically yucking it up over beers. those guys don"t need my 25 bucks, they look just fine. I personally would have had 2 guide/instructors giving a group a safety talk on that homepage. I LOVE you all at sawyer and your product is THE best. good luck in this endeavor. Sincerely, idahobobb
Thanks for the feedback Bob unfortunately we don’t have control over the Guide Across America web site , they are the non profit that is already set up to help real guides. We see the imagery is not good fit for the cause
How do we donate? Epic!!💪🏽🌊💓
The donation link is in the description. guidereliefprogram.org/win Thanks for your support!
What about worn out decals?
We've got a paddle bladeseized in the shaft of the oar - any tips for removing the blade?
Are you guys going to manufacture that 55 again? I don't see it on the web page anymore.
The 55 oar blade is going thru a re-design, should have an update in spring 2024
Would be nice to know why, and not just the what…
All Sawyer locks use the mag 70 bronze alloy, high strength but still pliable, so if you crab your oar, it can release from the lock and not break
@@Sawyerpaddlesandoars thanks!
That's a long way from Oscoda.
is the artisan prints a wrap that you install directly over the wood or is it a wrap. Super Cool.
The graphics are applied underneath the fiberglass layer and a permanent part of the oar
Are the 14” extension’s compatible with Cataract Oar Shafts??
They are the same size diameter, might some fine tuning to fit correctly
How does the lock mount to the boat?
does the kit come with apoxy and if not what type of apoxy is it?
Kit does not come with epoxy, we recommend a multipurpose marine epoxy
How often should we rebarnish?
Every couple years depending on usage.
Cool-looking blades! Seemingly, very effective when rowing, too! Why don't you tie the oars to the oar locks?
Same removal technique for a handle that is counter balanced?
Yes, the handle is attached by a set screw, so the method for removal is the same.
Wow! I used the oven method. Could not believe how incredibly simple this was. Worked perfectly. Thank you!
So glad that you found it helpful! Cheers and happy rowing!
Love it
I’d love to see that stomp box on a more narrow board. I personally find 32” to be a nice width for whitewater.
Nice video!
Doug fir! Our favorite for timber framing as well. Nice video Sawyer.
Excellent information, gotta love Sawyer Station
That looks so fun. I hope to get out there and try that soon.
Good information!
Right on I’ll hav ego drop by. Maybe we can partner up for a video to highlight your On Water Wednesday!
Sounds good, let us know , we would be happy to collaborate
Love my sawyer oars

The go to paddle for burly Class V
This was a fantastic video for learning and remembering some of the trade offs with choices for oars! There's actually not much content available for choosing an oar and reviews of oars out there. It would be great if Sawyer could do a series like that. Perhaps some case studies of different rafters and what they like/dislike about oars. What they might change about their oar set up and why. Thanks!
Excellent video of top-shelf product!
Rest In Peace Todd #teamtoddforever 🙏🏻🛐✝️
Please do a proper how-to video on rope wrapping your oars. I know a lot of other guides that would benefit from this. The paper instructions just don't do it justice on how to finish the wrap. Thank you!
Please check back, new rope wrap video is live
Nice.
Very important to have audio or text that describes what you're doing and how. And what temperature.
What temperature....
The box is heated with light bulbs, so no specific temperature. The rubber is warm to the touch but not hot. Another good trick is to leave them out in the sun for a few minutes.
What type of spray did you use?
Plain old hair spray. Makes the surface slick for a few seconds before it gets sticky.
good way too drown
If you have cord wrapped oars that have split rope how do you fix and re wrap them? Do you have a how to video on this?
This is not what comes to mind when I think of SUP. Pretty sweet. Thanks for sharing.
Class IV SUP?! You guys are crazy. So fun. Sign me up.
I drove right by them on 238 for years and did not know they were there. Now I know! Ti'omikh Falls is great!
Did you know these rapids are 1/4 mile off of I-5 in Gold Hill, Oregon? Millions of people drive by and only a hand full know these exist.
Most sink. This one floats I hear. That would be great!
I hear it's the best 3piece paddle in the world. Is it true?
Great to see some whitewater footage!!!
Sawyer Storm SUP paddles? Sounds interesting. I need a good strong, light paddle for the river.
How do you do that?
So cool to see some SUP whitewater. Looks like fun eddy hopping, surfing and running rivers.
They look great!
