Two new Twsbi’s and the 2 Twsbi’s I cleaned. I show you how many inks were in the running (so many rejects). What I picked and why. It took days (2 they were cleaned) to decide on inks. It usually does take days and sometimes weeks. We’ll ink the pens, writing samples and what I think of the ink with the nib.

Every time you mentioned my name it felt like you were just infront me talking to me😊 My heart is so full hearing how happy you are in this video. I am really glad you love everything. And aren't those shimmertastic inks just so gorgeous😍😍😍 VD cupid's bow is light on paper when written with extra fine nib, I'm sure it will show up more with a thicker nib. The shimmer in it is just so enchanted😍😍😍 I'm so happy we have been friends for almost a decade now!!!! Cheers to more years to come. Enjoy all the candies. It won't be the last time you'll get some sees candies from me now that I know you love them. ❤❤❤

The shimmertastic inks are so pretty, so far the 2 I’ve used are working out nicely. I’ve ordered a few more samples, I’m wanting yo hit full bottles, I love shimmer inks. VD Cupids bow, is stunning. Did I hear you say See's Candies? My favorite!! I used to buy it all the time when I lived in Washington State. But not here in Michigan now
That’s crazy! I was raised in Seattle area (not in). My friend sent me Sees candy, we don’t get here in Florida.
When I was in college, my aunt in NYC used to send me See’s chocolate assortments as gifts. Yum! Happy Birthday Jane!

It needs to be inked!
I would do the purple/white,wicked witch and raden trio,next the pinks,the neutrals and the demonstrators until they all see some love. I will also be in SF so if you are up for it itwould be great to meet you. So happy you are feeling well!

If you want a juicy nib from Platinum 3776, you got to get a course nib. It writes like a Sailor Zoom nib.
I have one music nib from Platinum, no course nib. Next time.
I find many of my 3776s to be somewhat dry.
I only have 2 or is it 3? One is very dry.
I love a dual purpose nib! My favorite!
If I ever travel overseas again, only 1 pen is needed (that’s crazy talk 😂). I could if needed.

How to pick? They are all new to me so „ink them all“ 😅, nah that’s selfish from me. What about a few in a colorfamily? All blue-purple, all pink.. what’s the model of the small mini pink (4th from the right)-?? it looks „chunkier“ than a Pro gear slim mini and that is too small in girth.
August I’ll ink some, July I already inked up. I have 32 inked, we’ll see if it’s too much? Color family is a nice idea.
@@fountainpensinksmore3290 too much? No, it depends. When I test inks in different pens etc it can happen that I have too many inked at once. With having so many beautiful pens and fun nibs like you have, I would also ink up quite a few- because fun! 🤩
@@MrsAlchemist I use to have 72-85 inked each month. Then sickness came, I still get a bit overwhelmed, I’m working my way up to more. I agree, I have some crazy fun nibs, I love them, of course my pens. I have tons of ink (200+ bottles) and about 400+ samples (friends have given to me). I’m very lucky to have what I do. My goal is to grow a little bit each month. This time I’m keeping a smaller amount of pens each month. Before I kept at least 1/2, usually more.
@@fountainpensinksmore3290 I enjoy that you just appreciate and love your collection! I don’t know if I would have managed to write with every pen in a month it there were so many 😉 On the other hand it’s sounds so much fun to have sooo many choices you can pick from depends on what mood you have 🧡
@@MrsAlchemist each pen has been written, not all in one month. I do enjoy each one. It is fun to decide who makes the cut for the following month. My goal is to write with each pen again, through currently inked.

I bought it several years ago.
The green one doesn't look like the 1911 pen of the year for 2023, the pen of the year has gold trim. Definitely one of my favorite pens. 😍

@@laurieball7030 don’t be sorry! I thought it was the raden pen, it’s beautiful. It’s at least 3 years old, I think longer. I sent the Sailor (black pen) to Tokyo (I’m pretty sure the city is correct). Raden pens are gorgeous!
You have such a lovely collection, that I really enjoy every video that shows some pens! It’s like going to a pretty pen museum and I see also writing samples! 🧡🙏

@fountainpensinksmore3290 Glad to see another video pop up, and I never mind how long your videos are: they are so enjoyable to watch. Oh such beautiful pens and nibs!! That Leonardo is just stunning! I wish they weren't so large, though. I finally caved in and pre-ordered my first Leonardo, the Momento Zero I think, so it's still a ways off before I get it. The Sea Gull grind reminds me of the Nagahara Beak Point grind at BunGuBox. That really lays down the ink! I have been thinking about getting a cursive smooth italic grind by Kirk Speer, but I think I want to get a double broad so that it still has a broad line. Stay well ~ hugs!!

The seagull nib is nice. I’ve had it for years. It was a long haul! I made it, it’s nice to be making videos again.
@@fountainpensinksmore3290 I am so sorry you went through that, but I am very glad you are on the other side of that $hit. Oh thanks for the offer! Sorry, I don't have IG anymore. I stopped using it seven or so years ago when I did a system update on my phone that showed how much time you spent (wasted?) on a given app. I was horrified to learn that I was spending an hour a day on IG ~ just scrolling through yarn/knitting and embroidery posts. I stopped immediately. Then when we upgraded phones, I never even downloaded the app so that I wouldn't be tempted. I left Twitter after the Boston Marathon horror in 2013 because we both sat up all night constantly refreshing our feed as though we lived in the area and were hanging on every alert. I'll never go through that again! We don't even live anywhere near the east coast, yet we were horrified by what happened. Anyway. Lots of horror for me with those apps, eh? Glad you are enjoying the seagull nib. If you feel inclined, maybe if you want to do a size comparison of the Sailor and Leonardo others might be interested, too. THANKS!!!

Nib Lab is in Spain (? I’m not sure), they ship! Nib grinds I get at a pen shows, all others are online (IG), they’re all very nice. If you have any questions I’ll help. The nib masters will answer questions. Thank you 💗 I’m thinking of writing out currently first, then go over what I liked and didn’t.

I have that red & blue pen- it is beautiful!
It’s beautiful. I put a blue ink either red sheen, perfect combo (IMO).
I put colorverse stars & stripes a shimmering blue ink - seemed very appropriate combo

Beautiful inks and pens as always. I'm pretty sure that Sugar Pea is my favorite color. I never thought of only partially filling my pens. I always filled them up.
It’s why I like letting people know. I get bored with inks, I change often. Of course there are those inks that decide nope not going to work with yet nib!
Definitely good to know. It was also interesting that you don't return the unused ink to the bottle.
@@deborahcooper1729 I’ve had a few friends there bottle of ink(s) mold in them. It’s a small amount, I do have lots of ink.

I do not like hard starters and dirty cap leakers. The place of ink is not meant to be inside the cap. Nibs with always ink on it are horrible too. And pens that aren’t clean even after 100 flushings or ultrasone sessions are not good for my mood.
I agree with all! I have a couple of pens, that are very hard to get clean (it’s regular ink!).

Thanks for the video! Here are a few more: 1. Pens that leak ink into the cap or onto the grip section 2. Stained pens 3. Caps that won’t go on right, that are loose or misaligned 4. Corroded hardware 5. Loose trim rings 6. Broken sacs 7. Clips that get bent out of place 8. Hard to grip or turn piston knobs 9. Patterns that don’t line up between the cap and the body of the pen 10. Pens that need priming every time I start writing
YES and yes! They all drive me nuts!
My biggest annoyance with fountain pens is just trying to find the right paper. If I'm writing in my journal or something like that then of course I have nice paper, but if I need to write on anything that is not my own paper it's just not going to go well
We all understand! Some nibs/inks do not work well with papers. The struggle is real!
7.Very difficult to find spare parts and restorers for F.P. Vintage.
I haven’t explored the vintage FPs yet, I can see parts being difficult to find.
I’m very new to the world of fountain pens so mine is my inability to fill my pen without getting ink on my hand.
I’m not new to fountain pens, 98% of the time my hands look like they’ve been trashed. It’s very common to get inked all over your hands, for me is.
