Baby oil - cheap and cheerful - clean the brush every time after use and lube the needle on a cloth - job's a good un.
Using PVA for that is nuts - super glue gels are the way to go!
I disagree. I love superglue gels, and there is time and place for them, and its not for MDF. Its been 7 years and they are still holding strong.
He did not show the placement of the safety device which is mandated by law to stop a child from strangulation, very disapointed.
Wow this must be one of earliest miniature painting tutorials on CZcams. Still useful even for today. Very nice.
Thank you very much buddy. I'm glad its still helping.
Why do you fit the material rolling down from the outside edge? And not have it rolling off the rear edge thereby making a seal to the wall or window...which cuts the light out!! Which is why they are called BLINDS. ROLLING OFF the outer edge leaves a 40mm gap between surfaces and blind and lets the light in.
Good vid. However would have liked to know where 32mm cut off measurement came from
Fake news, stolen elections have consequences.
Was there this weekend
Much much better than the Dunelm video. Thanks
you are very welcome. Good luck with fitting your blinds.
Good to find this I haven't cut my blind but I just can't insert one of the plugs. After numerous attempts I noticed the metal hollow pole is not circular its more oval 🙈 No way I've done that as I don't have the hand strength to insert the plug let alone reshape metal. I'm wondering if the mallet might force a round peg into an oval hole or if its back to Dunelm
If the metal is still the same as when I bought mine all those years back, then a mallet would probably knock the plug in, but my guess is that if you do it and it doesn't work it could invalidate a returns process with Dunelm.
Thanks for responding I will probably contact Dunelm first then and send a photo I'm only at the start of the process
I have been looking everywhere for an explanation of what the crown cap was for and its use. I even search the airbrush's manufacturer and got nothing. Yours is the first video I came across with a good explanation.
Glad the video helped clarify the differences buddy.
That’s very well put together video. Thanks
Dead right about all screws that come like this.
Thank you very much. This is the exact tap i have bought for the kitchen with compression valves with traditional rubber washer instead of ceramic disc cartridges which don't last as long. This to replace a Pegler single lever one that lasted about 3 years?! Nice down to earth explanation. Nice to know i can do this myself. cheers.
A very helpful video showing every step in detail. Thank you.
I make this articulated
Fantastic super thank.
Thank you, very helpful.
I just started using Superlube this week and it's definitely got all the relevant bits sliding a little smoother!
Yup, Superlube is great. I've saw plenty of people saying use this or that, but SL works so well and lasts soooo long, I wouldn't ever consider using anything else.
Back here in 23 for the re-release lol
Well hopefully the video gave you enough info to work with bud.
@@SquidgyBidgey definitely. They have it up for £40, seems an okay price. Only having orders open until Monday morning though. Quite a few classic pieces of terrain available
Love my skelis from mantic!
How did it end up performing?
Sorry bud but never got round to playing a game with it.

Superb video. Very easy to follow and slow and clear at every stage. Good tips on where to work (kitchen floor in his case), how to mark lines accurately, how to cut the fabric and the top and bottom rails etc. He speaks clearly and loud. Very good guide, hope I can do as well myself this afternoon.
Thanks, the measuring between brackets isn't clear in the poor paper instructions supplied, and your video tells me what I need to know. Tip, I always turn my hacksaw blade the wrong way around when cutting thin tubes as it then doesn't bite on the forward stroke if I don't have a junior hacksaw.
ive just ordered one tonight...used to be a florymodels discount on them but its gone now it seems
Just tried to fit a Dunelm blind following their instructions, didn't fit, too long. After searching the interweb found your vid, brilliant. Remeasured and recut ( what a faf( ) now all ok. Now for the next one. Thank you!
Great review pal. Going for the slightly bigger brother with the Silver bullet at £269. subbed!
Good job
Halfway through here and the issue is with all the equipment which I don't own such as spirit level, right angle ruler, large scissors, blade thing, hacksaw.. by the point I have bought all the extra DIY equipment I may as well pay someone to fit them for me.. I suppose that is why many people avoid DIY jobs. Not to mention the risk of fudging it up and having to buy a second set of blinds
hate these airbrushes buy a badger lot less fiddly
Each to their own and everyone has their specific tastes when it comes to air-brushes, just like with bristle brushes. I do find it quite pathetic though that having all ready made up your mind, you sought out a video of this airbrush just to come and say that you hate them. Good life lesson, if you want someone to hear your criticisms and take it seriously, couch it with something good either side. ie nice thing, criticism, nice thing. Anyway have a nice day.
Silly comment, and inaccurate. I have no dog in this fight as I own and use Sparmax, Iwata, Fengda (Iwata clone), Badger and Thayer & Chandler Omni (Badger). I have a sentimental spot for Badger as a150 IL was my first good and double action airbrush. That said, Sparmax are Taiwanese precision combined with good metallurgy. Design imitates Iwata. These are no more "fiddly" than any Badger I own. Less so than older Badger designs with the separate trigger latch assembly.
Thx for help great video
Thanks mate, worked a treat and thanks especially for all the invaluable tips about how to do a really professional job :)
Just got the blind from Dunelm, scratching my head jumped on You tube and you my friend made me realize how simple it was..Much Appreciated and all this time later we are still being helped by you...Big Thanks
Update! You gave me the confidence, and I did it! I didn't have to cut it either as it is a massive frame with a smaller window. Just added the 3.2 on. Thanks!
Thanks I just bought one of these today and the instructions are crap
Thanks! Even the Dunhelm video was unclear on all these steps. I didn't really understand why you had to do the 3.2 cm cut before this. Why isn't it just 3.2 shorter to start with? Fingers crossed I can't mess this one up.( last one was a failure).
To begin with, M 5 Stuart was never supplied to the Soviet Union under lend lease, so even if you put another dozen red stars (in fact Soviet tanks very rarely had red stars on them), it still has nothing to do with reality.
To end with, I don't give a flying f***, as its a TOY for a GAME. It was a fun little "What If" project, if you can't get that round your head, away and stick it in a chip pan.
Very informative review. Your perspective on this airbrush was really cogent. I just ordered one!
Please come around to my house and fit my Dunelm blinds .....😂😂😂 what a nightmare if you don’t have the confidence or tools to do this yourself . Thank you for your video
May 2022 and still helping! Thanks for taking the time to do an in-depth video.
Excellent video of how to fit a Dunelm blind. Much better than Dunelms own
Thank you so much!
I wonder how much worth is this set now in 2022
Dang I hadn't realised that set was painted 10 years ago. No idea, wouldn't expect they cost much more than they did then.
@@SquidgyBidgey I've just thrifted one for 2 dollars haha
Thank you for uploading this its going to help me to reposition and cut-down the dunelm roller blinds in my bathroom. The tip re the tape has been especially useful for me.💕

Thanks for taking time to create and post this video.
traditional sign writer, been using brushes for years but about to explore the world of airbrushing, got an Iwata eclipse cs and just ordered one of these spray booths, hopefully arrives in few weeks. you reviews were brilliant. so how's it going, you still using it? is it still working good after aw these years ?
Thank you. Yup, still working perfectly. One of the best investments I ever made. The Iwata is a nice brush, enjoy! Before investing in this I owned a couple of generic Chinese air-booths that didn't last anytime at all before failing. The BenchVent destroys them performance wise. Bit of advice, pick up some replacement filters so as to keep it running at peak efficiency.
@@SquidgyBidgey cheers for quick reply. Excellent, aye a done a fair bit of research, avoided the cheaper stuff, decided to go with the Iwata eclipse as I will be using enamel paints (got extra 0.5 needle and other bits to swap just incase the 0.3 doesn't work out) all trial and error for now lol. looked at all the diy booths & made in china ones, but was worried about the dangerous fumes from the enamel paint so was looking for something safe, came across your videos and boom, I was sold lol, perfect. pricy but like you said, an investment. I got the 3 pack of filters too and the connector bit for out the window. said 3 to 4 weeks for delivery, how long did u need to wait
@@Traceyinoz I got mine in few day, but I bought it from Airbrushes.com and they had stock available at the time. Yeah, I had considered building my own, as I am very capable at DIY type builds, but in the end opted for safety first and really don't regret it. In case it interests you. For storage I made a fabric sausage, open at one end that I slide over my hose which allows me to tuck it away tightly when not in use. Did not know that there was purpose made window attachment for the hose, I'll need to look into that and see if its any better tan the DIY bodge up I made for mine.
@@SquidgyBidgey I got mine from Graphicair as it was on sale and I also had a discount code so saved a fair bit when I got all the parts. Think the hose attachment is pretty basic, looks like the china ones, it was in the spares & accessories section, yours looked like a great setup and and prob does a better job. Aye cheers for the tip, the fabric sausage idea sounds cool, will try it out for sure. Need to rearrange my workshop so I'm closer to the window. hopefully arrives soon and when I'm all setup I will share some pics/vids
So much better than the instructional video that the sellers provide, they don't even show the cutting part!
