Principle of Transit Oriented Development
Learning from Cases of ODA Technical Cooperation Project in Urban Transportation and Transit Oriented Development in Dar es Salaam.
Traffic congestion on the main roads of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, has become a problem due to population growth and an increase in the number of private vehicles owned, and the country's government is promoting the development of a Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) system as a public transportation system. In order to promote public transportation oriented development (TOD), the key is to identify core stations that will promote TOD and to draw up a TOD strategy for the entire line to guide development toward sustainable growth in Dar es Salaam, where the population is increasing. This project will contribute to the promotion of the TOD approach by developing a TOD strategy and guidelines and a coordination mechanism for relevant agencies along the BRT line in Dar es Salaam, thereby strengthening the capacity of relevant agencies to plan and implement TOD.

Jicas finance Coal power project Matarbari,Moheshkhali, Cox'sbazar, Bangladesh. JICA didn’t paid land owners. This is Md. Shaker Ullah. I am a citizen of Matabari Union, Maheshkhali Upazila under Cox's Bazar District, Bangladesh. Japan is a true friend of Bangladesh. The Government of Japan and JICA have been providing financial assistance to Bangladesh for the infrastructural development . Jica invest Matarbari ultracritical coal power plant in Matarbari.I'm a landwoner of this porject.Bangladesh govt didn't paid my lands value. BD govt pay compensation to some landowners which is very little in the amount of money. Although I or my family have been lost our land in this project , 6 years have passed and we have not received any compensation. Can JICA, as the implementing agency, avoid liability for this irregularity? Even after 6 years, JICA has talked to the affected people as to why the owner of the actual damaged landwoner has not received compensation. DC office of Cox'bazar cutting 30-40% as a bribe when people want their compensation.We are affected people.we lost everything.Please investigate my complaint. The real facts will come out.Take proper steps. Give my money as soon as possible.
