If only Holly and Chris fought back.
Unbelieveable what Holly survived. I just watched a recent interview with Holly. She is a remarkable woman. czcams.com/video/wznY2q1gj_o/video.html
She’s a victim of trauma by a railroad station and the decided to take her to a railroad station… no wonder she could barely do the interview. The set up was probably so triggering for her ptsd.
I physically cringed when I looked at the background. They should have known better
Actually, she does a lot of seminars and likes to talj about what happened in order to get over what happened. I'm sure she also knew where they were holding it.
First found out about this from the Karate Kid.
This lady does a terrible job recollecting what happened.
She’s a victim of a horrific crime. She doesn’t deserve judgment while recalling the worst day of her life.
Have you been through what she has been through whilst standing in a similar location to where said trauma happened? No? Then shut the F up
Wow, she is so lucky to be alive. I remember a very similar story about the night stalker Richard Ramirez. Some sick mother fuckers out there man.
Over 20 years ago and I still remember the first officer (Ofc. E) on scene saying, "312 10-26 and the appropriate units" 10-26 was code for coroner and appropriate units would be Robbery/Homicide and Evidence Collection. This was after being dispatched to a stabbing with pretty much no other info. Massive manhunt and they found nothing. This guy was evil and smart.
I know her
I know her
A little bit of self-defence training would have got them - and several other people like them - out of this kind of trouble. It's quite easy to disarm someone like that, if you learn a few moves.
luke dawson They we're clearly totally unfamiliar with any kind of seriously violent confrontation and were weary of a gun. They had NO chance against this particular killer, he had a certain way of lulling certain people into a false sense of security due to his extremely small stature and mild nature. He was every bit a mild, unintrusive semming small Mexican man who happened to have it in him to seriously hurt or murder people without a second thought, and the vast majority of people don't expect other people to be capable of that on a whim.
SeGa32xXx There was no gun involved. The weapon was either a knife or icepick.
kentuckycountrygirl Weary of a gun meaning that they were almost definitely worried about the POSSIBILITY of him having a gun. Not that they were worried about a gun he was actively brandishing within their sight...
Bullshit man, disarming someone comes with many variables. Strength, instincts, street smarts......will a few moves help? Not if the guy is a weak scared young kid. What would have really helped these kids is intelligence. "Preventative" precautions opposed to physical self defense. First and foremost always know your surroundings!! Stay in well lit area's during night time. They should know railroad tracks are a haven for drifters(usually harmless fwiw) and they should have made their way into the party as soon as the other two went in. The next thing they did wrong was sit down with their backs to the tracks. I would never do that. I grew up with tracks right behind my house. They had devil worshipers at night. I saw a freshly cut goats head sitting right on a track once(true story). The last and most important thing they did wrong was let the kidnapper tie them up. At this point they still have two on one and should have ran and screamed. Even if one ran and screamed the bad guy most likely would have ran off. Tough to hold onto two people at once. If it was just a robbery he would not tie you up!! Once he goes to tie you up that signifies something more heinous about to take place. Never let a kidnapper take you from point A to point B. Statistics show you are much less likely to survive if he accomplishes this feat. Always know where you are. These are things parents and schools need to teach kids.
