15 wagons, the permissible weight of a four-axle wagon according to UIC is 100 tonnes, so the weight of the train without locomotives is a maximum of 1500 tonnes. I watch a lot of these UK railway videos and often see two locomotives for relatively light trainsets, what is the reason for this?

We took them for granted for too long then realised how utterly awesome they were.

I've never understood this one. Steam runs under wires all the time, but this is the only instance of this happening, to my knowledge.

Just found this. Great memories, I can almost smell the exhaust. Travelled many excursions in the seventies. Living near Birmingham my favourite ride home was either Hatton or Lickey banks with head out the window, just like that. Happy days 😊😊😊😊😊

I don't think that that was a Paxman Valenta, seemed too quiet. It was more likely an MTU as they were all swapped out around 2006-2007 apart from the EML, which used updated Valentas.
