@@charliegraham7708 the 2023.5 CVOs and 2024 road and street glides have several wire looms and a massive connector right behind the radiator where this skid plate goes. They are exposed to anything you may run over with your front wheel. There’s already been at least one person who ran over something that shot up and ripped all his wiring so this is cheap insurance when you’re 1000 miles from home.

Why install a skid plate you ask... Riding in an area of heavy trucking a piece of steel from a truck somehow Manage to hit the engine case of my 08 electraglide. It punctured the case causing massive loss of oil. So 8,000.00 later for a new factory fresh 110 with some cases and labor I know the answer to your question. Road debris!

@@GAPalmer hey there and thanks for watching! I’m actually renting this house and it came this way so I can’t give you too much information regarding the floor. My garage gets pretty warm in summer. Make sure you insulate your door if possible too. Mine isn’t but I know that helps tremendously!

@@Lous-Clues I believe it is a 5/32! Sorry about that I grabbed that fast and didn’t even look at the size. I just double checked. That bolt is very very easy to get out. Mine was actually a bit looser than I would have liked from the factory. Thanks for watching!

@@_goseeit did you do the initial 1K service on it yet? When I got mine done, they found lots of loose bolts too.

@@Lous-Clues Yes I did. Im at 3300 miles right now. I need to run through it again and check the bolts. I checked many of them around 1500 miles. Goodjob on keeping everything tight

Thank you for the info! I had been thinking about removing them but I do ride two up alot so I am going to leave the black on. The paint on those side covers is super soft and scratches very easily

Sadly mine just developed the front fork squeak so it is going into the dealer...do I warranty or just toss the ohlins in the front now? lol

@_goseeit it is pretty impressive with just a stage 1, honestly I didn't think I would be able to tell a noticeable difference but in custom mode or sport mode it's absolutely a noticeable improvement. Safe travels to Hawaii

About 9 days. Im in Las Vegas.

I am going to lowes tomorrow to get some small rubber washers to run under the shield on the lower screws in hopes of them not putting the screws at such an angle. Mine are torqued just fine with them crushed out a small bit so I am hoping this solves the issue.

@@NeatFreq Thats awesome dude! The bike is so good isn’t it?! That’s a stellar idea as I have gotten a couple questions. I have not done the front yet. I’m sure I will at some point. After riding 2 up and with luggage I realized I needed to do the suspension. I’m also on the shorter side at 5’6”. I did a 1” lowering block and paired with the extra sag on the ohlins it helps me get the bike where I need to be still with excellent dampening and rebound properties. It def rides smoother, soaks corners way better, and just all around feels more planted.

@@_goseeit Thanks for replying, I definitely enjoyed watching most of your videos, really enjoy your chill personality and man the landscapes you've captured and rode are just amazing especially compared to out here on the East coast. I actually finished a thrashin supply brake arm install tonight, waiting on a few parts for the bars and risers hopefully by this weekend. I've done a saddleman seat step up, tuck and roll as I had on my previous Lowrider ST. I'm trying to find a set of those crash bars you recently installed but our local dealers are all out of stock till Sept. Would love to see a full overview video of your bike and things you've changed or added. I'm pretty happy with the stock windshield for now and the Klockworks one is HUGE and just not my style. Anyway, looking forward to your next video, keep it up.

@@NeatFreq Thanks again dude, I really appreciate it! Your bike sounds stellar. I did the Thrashin brake arm too, I have it on the lowest setting and love it. Im planning on doing their bars and risers this winter. I lucked out and got the set of rears in at my local HD as I had backordered them. Only 3 sets had come in so far. You should be able to get them soon! The fronts are available online. I just updated my windshield to a 9" somsong customs, but I haven't got any miles on it yet as I have been out of town. @@shawndepauw9523 not that I know of. It’s really loud when it goes off. If the bike doesn’t recognize a key and you attempt to move it, it will just scream non stop. Another option is to buy an Amazon basic bike alarm and those things are insanely loud!

@@karlzaman9404 if you pull the battery out you’ll see the compartment it goes into behind the battery. I didn’t film it when I switched it. Sorry man

@@arthurminix2564 Thanks man. It just auto sets once the bike is turned off. It will beep a couple times. If I move my bike and the key isn't close to it, it will start screaming until it senses the key. Huge piece of mind in my opinion.

The bikes already have the alarm. Just don't have the audio part. That's what this does. Just makes it known that there's an alarm
