    Thank you for the clear explanation, after years of using InDesign this is the one that I always get stuck with (probably because I was so used to PagePlus and Publisher, where I think it's different). I've written down those shortcuts: V for Selection Tool, A for Direct Selection and, a tool that I'd never dared fiddle with but which will be really useful for me, E for Free Transform. I might even round off the corners of a text frame!
