How To Clean & Restore Headlights | Faded Headlight Restoration
Today I will show you a trick to quickly and easily restore yellowed and faded your car headlight.
Warning! This process uses sulfuric acid, which is highly corrosive and dangerous, so proper precautions and protective measures are necessary.
You will find many videos on CZcams showing hacks on how to restore lights with citric acid or toothpaste, but these methods are mostly ineffective. In this case, sulfuric acid was used, which ate away all dirt and irregularities. Of course, this alone was not enough, so I had to use sandpaper and a polishing pad. Either way, the process was pretty quick and efficient. I used a UV-resistant varnish for sun protection. I hope the headlights of my car restored in this way will remain clear for at least one year.

I found this 20-year-old Alfa Romeo GTV V6 engine rocker cover and intake manifold very cheap and thought it would make a perfect restoration project. This is one of the dirtiest, most burnt on and badly cast rocker covers I have come across. Making it an ideal candidate for a Restoration video.
There's no way with big flakey rust that it started with, that it came out that smooth before the putty! I've cleaned wheels with way less rust that had DEEP pits 🙄

Heard of brush plating. This would had been great in the '60's & 70's as our poor man's mag was a chrome plated factory rim. Will this hold to the elements?

No, it wouldn't. Painted wheels last 10 - 15 years, depending on conditions of driving. If you have too much money, better gold-plate them, while you are at it

Save the coke stage,dry vac and hot soapy water all you need ,low pressure degrease wash the engine bay will improve total cooling and cleaned or new air filter.

I bought some chrome steel wheels for my Hilux about 20 years ago and wondered how they chrome plated just the face of the wheels. I found out that they where done using this method. They where shit and rusted away in know time. Never again have chrome wheels on a 4 x 4 . Not worth it .
