The slower you go, the bigger wing you need to get some effect. The converse is also true.
You don't need to turn corners on a drag car
less downforce needed when chasing straight line speed. less drag.
Same reason why gtrs use a flat panel instead of a bigger wing. it's going in a straight line. Lol
