Re the PET tapes- I've ordered from Some Sort of Fern via Pinkoi to the UK before and was fairly speedy, and good price. Also pineapple studio in the UK have some (Not many) of the Asteroid b-610 designs if you need them again 😊

I cannot decied bettwen a hon cousin or a 'normal' one with a cover 😅 I want to buy so many books this year ... I need to force myself not to buy things i wont use... I originally planned on getting a weeks (garden planner), a day free, a cousin and a five years ... but im debating gettin another weeks and an a6 too ...

i really like how thoughtful you are with your purchases! this year i'm getting an a6 cover and a weeks, and my main option for the a6 is the yumi kitagishi one, but i'm slightly struggling with the red inside (i also wanted to get the little gifts last year but decided against it bc i knew i couldn't cope with the bright turquoisey blue), i just wish they had the cousin design in a6 too 🥲 my other options are the denali (which i love but don't think i'd enjoy all year round) and the liberty fabrics michelle (which may be too similar to the hollyhocks i'm using this year). for weeks i'm considering the star dust with the iyo okumi clear cover (which i also think is very wintery) or the yumi kitagishi! thankfully there is still time to decide & i think hearing you apply strict reason to your choices will help me do that too!

I love the A5 Tragen. You are right though, it is annoying at times. I learned to put the flap inside/behind the Hobonichi in order for it to look like a normal book while on my lap....hope that makes sense. I absolutely love how functional the cover is and the fabric is amazing.

You should get the Van Der Spek! It's gorgeous, and it'll last forever. : ) I'm still deciding on what a5 cover to get for my cousin, but I'm definitely getting a pomegranate leather weeks!

Some great picks in this video. VDS covers are definitely an investment BUT they are beautiful and are so well made that they last for years and years. The nubuck leather is gorgeous! I recently treated myself to a nubuck ecume and it’s perfect (soft and squishy and just wonderful) ❤. For my Hobonichi order this year, I am going to be taking a leaf out of your book. Cousin and Weeks both in black gingham so that I can decorate. I’ve ordered lots of stickers and really looking forward to personalising it 😊

Does anything think or know if the cover on covers would fit a sterling ink A5 common planner? Or would it be terribly too big? I’m in love with that iyo cover but not really a fan of the hobonichi plain covers they have.

Definitely agree that there are less 'classic' looking designs this year, and lots of cutesy designs. I'm also considering the brown Alettone cover. It's one that I didn't really like at first but it's growing on me and I think it would be the perfect cover for my Take a Note. One more week of thinking and thinking and thinking 😆

I like the things you picked, they're all very you!! I was gonna get the Only Is Not Lonely green cover, but since it doesn't have any pockets I decided it's not for me. So no Hobonichi in 2025 here ^_^

I have an a6 hobinichi notebook as my planner / to dos and write my day so can transfer to main journal and then have weekly supplement for main stuff that went on and in back pocket of my a6 cover I have the a6 memo pad with lists - wishlist. Things to buy, orders, books to read/buy, habit trackers , main to do for month etc... and then this little memo pad is easy to just take with me when I need to out of house to run errands. ❤❤
