Amy lost her dad, Michael, to MND over five years ago.
A lot has changed since he passed, but his memory still lives on. Michael was a great influence in Amy's life, so much so that she is now dedicating her career to helping people just like him by leading the Equipment Service at MND Victoria.
Amy has written a letter to her dad updating him on everything he's missed in the past five years.

I am praying for you. This condition is Known as ALS in the country I live in. We hope we will find a cure soon. Remember God is the God of the impossible, seek him he will reward you. Put your trust and faith in God, he is your helper. He is faithful. Praise the Lord

Hi @laylihamida807. Only people who live in Victoria, Australia are eligible for our services. Many other countries have their own MND/ALS associations who provide care and support to their residents.

@@thres34All I have to say about that is at least he’s not suffering any more. Bloody awful disease, especially for all these really young people who seem to be coming far more common. All the very best to his widow. I cannot imagine how hard it was and is for her….

MND Victoria provide an amazing service to people with MND. No other agency provides this type of support specifically for people with MND. Liz is a great Advisor who is very dedicated to supporting the people with whom she works
Poor guy. I know what he means about being fatigued from lack of breathing capacity. I have had issues for many months with breathing even though never smoked and get very fatigued doing hardly anything in the garden. I thought I may have had MND as I started falling over several times a day and dropping things because of weak limbs but 5 years on I fall over less. This was a great relief and I can still work driving my semi trailer.
