Best scx24 Gladiator build 2024 - Pt.1
On the bench this time is one of my subscribers build that I was asked to put together because they did not have the time to finish it. I will say I am more or a custom build kinda of guy but this Gladiator build was a fun build and I think you will see a few more builds like this in the near future. I literally have two sets of those Injora beadlocks and MAN are they heavy! Plus they look great, also got black labels on one of the sets 😂 twins

Very cool build! I have a similar build using a Meus $20 carbon fiber chassis, but otherwise a lot of the same parts! How do you like the big swamp claws? I have Clingons, and dj crawler 72mm pins cut for 1.8’s, and I just ordered the 72mm hxh pins today, but I’ve wondered about the swamp claws since the lgrp swamp kings are one of my best performing 1.0 tires….
The Claws looks mean but, they do not perform as well as Clingons or the Pins.
@@RCHobbyFarm good to know! I think the clingons maybe the best option currently. I still need to break in the hxh pins, but so far they almost have too much grip. They pull the motor down because of the 33% overdrive 🤯

Yes, I use to do that also. I have planks in the shop and I still have issues finding them! My youngest boy comes in with young eyes and finds them for me.

I have two cheat codes, and they're awesome. How do you think the Cheat Code is VS the Spectr Pro in performance?
The Spectr pro hands down over the v2 Cheatcode. With the new Cheatcode V3 I think that will change. I will have a V3 Cheat code video soon, and a video with Spectr pro, Athos XL and Cheatcode V3 facing off.
@@RCHobbyFarm oh seriously.. that sounds like a badass review! I bought a short V3 and a long V3. Spectr Pro is never in stock, and went for the Cheat Code V2, and later the V3. Never tried Athos.
Right off of the Riff I never did like them tires I even tried to cut and modify them just didn't really plan out I tell you though I found a new set of tires that are 70 mm so not great big but not real small and I modified them and they turned out being amazing does the DJ crawler 70 mm by 1.3 and they look like a hyrax tire but their lugs are locked taller and they come all the way out onto the sidewalk I slipped the sidewall up took the lugs and cut them almost all the way down and then I put a little Notch out of the side lug😊 phenomenal even better now that they got 1.3 inserts by fluff

My personal opinion for it to be on 1.8 and almost 1.3 it needs to be super wide such as his axles and it needs to be way longer and then slammed yeah you can get better break over but you lose in the long run honestly because your side heal and it's so Tipsy I ran bigger Wheels I got a badass set up of all the tungsten slugs everything you can think of for them 1.8 I even have my triple stacked in the front and then double stacked in the rear I just think it's too much I can almost pull every single line with 1.0 what prophet design stuff

They’re great rock tires! I have flub inserts in them. I do wish they made a 63mm tires also.
@@RCHobbyFarm inserts and vented? Yes they’re not the biggest but they’re pretty wide, I have them on my c10 so I’m not complaining about size since they’ll just rub even more
Are you rock, crawling, or rock bouncing? You’re not getting any traction you’re just flooring. The damn crawler makes no sense.
The rocks were still wet from multiple days of heavy rain and this was the first day of no rain and following that day was more rain.
Swamp claws and any tires with larger lugs for that matter hook best at super slow speeds. I prefer pins or landmine style tires. Legit build man i love it!
Yeah, we had multiple days of heavy rain and the rocks were still wet. I am switching the mud claws out for some DJ Clawer Pins or Clingons.

What transmitter are you using? I noticed you stop to adjust the rear. I use the fly sky g7p. Best 4sw transmitter imo. The only competitors to that setup are the HP Valk and MOFO mini wild. Top 3 designs for performance. All 3d builds (triple driveshafts) those rims been sold out online for some time now. Glad I got mine😁epic rocks too👍🤠👍great vid dude💯🔥
@@troypostie1252 appreciate it! I am running an Avatar 4WS and really like it. I also have a Flysky GT5, but I like where the position of the rear steer is right by my thumb on the Avatar.

I love RC but it supports the one country that is doing the most damage to the USA. We need more RC manufacturing in the USA like the 1:1 off road community.

I ended up going with double. It was really hard to cover up that carbon fiber.
Oh so I don't know if you guys have ever cleaned your tires like wipe them down but try 409 degrees
Also in my experience Klingons are not near as good as 65mm pins
The athos is an absolute monster especially if you run shorter lengths in the front end and you can really do some magic tricks with that rig mine is also on Portal axles
@@gibsonlife573 Athos is a very solid chassis, one of my favorite but I have a Spectr Pro I like even better.
He never made that first bonus the first rig in the video he ran right over top of that bonus
@@gibsonlife573 yes, he had hit the bonus gate, so if he did not make it through the gate it’s -10 -20 pts if I remember correctly. Majority of the truck made it through the gate while driving over one of the gates making it 0 pts.
