I hate how youtube didnt even show that you dropped a video. Cheers mate, this is a good one.

Lol, it's tedious.
@@brockhardentertainment bro I thought I knew music then I see shit like this and you call it easily. 🤣🤣 now I am very insecure

Hello teacher. I'm from Hong Kong. Always watch your channel to learn to use Caustic 3. I recently bought a new Android phone. But now it is not possible to install caustic 3. Is there any way around this? hope you can shoot a video to explain it. Thank you.
@@-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.- Right now I do not know a way around this, I'm experiencing the same problem.
@@brockhardentertainment So Said😫
I genuinely never knew of this games existence
I hadn't either up until I played it. The Nintendo DS is a lot like the Game Boy Advance where they both have these huge libraries filled with licensed games that you would never think would exist.
I honestly had no idea that scene from Milhouse in the Arcade was made into an actual game lol.
Amazing
This actually kind of goes hard

Love that lead at the end! It helped me figure out how to crack a sound design problem ive been having this pas week trying to emulate an instrument from crash bandicoot🎉
Cool! That pitch modulation with an attack envelope is really effective. One of my favorite sounds.
@@brockhardentertainment ive never tried it before! No wonder fm and filter envelopes werent getting me closer
Btw it goes: exponential, linear, logarithmic. My physics highschool teacher was one of my inspirations xD
Not all locator devices are shown
Such a clear, excellent tutorial !
The formant filter i believe suffers from what is known as dc offset, which causes a spike in resonant frequecies when a high frequency signal is run through a filter. Im not sure if there's a way around it other than notch the crazy "feedback", im still experimenting. In Bandpass i use something called a DC offset filter which i use before or after a formant filter to eliminate the problem. Eq before can also be helpful
There usually is always a solution in Caustic but normally involves some sort of tedious process that either takes time or gobbles up your limited tracks. I'm running into a very tedious problem as of lately. I'm taking all of my songs that are made in Caustic and exporting the stems into reason so I can properly mix them, the only problem is that I'm most of my tracks I used all the drums on one channel so now I have to go through and export the drum channel eight times, muting all the channels but one so I can individually get each sound out of it. It seems like to save room I did that on a lot of tracks so every time I used a beatbox, have to do the same process just to get all the sounds on separate channels. It's a very tedious process that has been burning me out and mixing in general is a very slow paced tedious process that takes me a long time for each track. It could take me a week to do one song.
@@brockhardentertainment yeah indeed the tediousness is the problem and exporting the beatbox one by one i get u, either that or have 3-4 beatboxes xD and then there's consuming each channel's one out of 2 effect racks for sidechaining and if only there was a multiband compressor.. the only reason i envy apple is because they have an app on their phones that allows u to use all ur app's features as plugins in one daw, like the synths from caustic with the stereo and dynamics stuff from fl mobile with the dither and dc offset from Bandpass and crazy effects from grainstorm finishig off with flowtone's barricade limiter for mastering😍
💜🔥💜😎🖖👍 hope caustic comes back to play store. Thankyou
Great explained
Great video, I’ve been meaning to check Caustic out, but never got around to it. Thanks a lot! ❤
Another way to look at the two outputs from the mini LFO is that the top output moves into the negative range too, not just the positive range. So if you want a vibrato that centers around the note pitch, you’d want to use the top output. The bottom output would create a vibrato that only increases the note pitch relative to the played note. So the point isn’t that the top output gives you a larger range (that’s what the knob is for, as you point out), it’s that the bottom output only lets you modify into the positive range.
Awesome 👍😎🎉 Do an XNB deep dive style series ❤
It’s a great idea to add saturation to the signal to create more complex overtones in order to better show off the lowpass filter …except you need to put the saturation BEFORE the filter, not after it.
Lol this is such good advice. In almost every single patch I've made, I've put the saturator after the filter, but never before, it should be very interesting to test out and start experimenting with. I really appreciate you taking the time to help!
@@brockhardentertainment Thank YOU for putting in all the time and effort to make a video like this! I get the impression from a quick google search that Caustic has been discontinued or abandoned, at least on Android. You seem to be in-the-know, what's the situation, is Caustic something worth investing time on?
@@PeranMe it is in the sense that If you go into it knowing that it will probably never be updated. Old apps can be fun because some of them were made really well like Caustic even though there is major downsides and minor glitches. It's fun to mess around with on your phone if you got a few minutes but stick with more modern stuff when it comes to investing time.
@@brockhardentertainment Thanks for your reply, that was what I was afraid of. Looking forward for more videos!
I need to get back to it, since I still have this artifact of an app installed!
You’re absolutely right, the oscilloscope’s ”Trig” switch makes the scope start drawing based on when the waveform triggers, which is why it ”stands still” and is much easier to ”read”.
Thanks for the info!
Yeah i needed explication the modular Synth Good Job 🤠

Excellent Sir!
Love the effort put in here. Was hoping for a few more random ‘game over’ moments though
Unexpected content xDi thought it woud relate to audio xD
No this was just for fun. I'm working on a really long modular video that people were asking for and it's been taking a while to complete. It's gonna be close to 3 hours long. I'm pretty much going over every function on the modular in Caustic. That plus some production techniques stuff from my latest songs in reason are going to be done soon too.
@@brockhardentertainment that's awesome! Looking forward to it
You know level 5 where you say it's hard to jump over that boulder, you don't even need to (and I was never aware you could until seeing your video!) Just keep running all the way off the edge and immediately pull a hard left, Simba will grab onto the lower platform and get to safety.
I live on the shore of Lake Erie and often thought a show about taking drag magnets through the lake would be a smash success but you would have to stage finding lots of interesting shit even if most of it will just be "garbage" lol. Social media reached a point long ago where "real life" being depicted is in fact being completely staged and easily believed because the channels are run as so very low-tech, nobody suspects them of fakery. *In relationship to this, I think running the metal detector on land would be a much easier concept to fulfill and as long as you were willing to do huge edits so it's primarily a reel of things you find, no fakery required and it would be easy to create content depending where you live.* I'm right on the beach so there are endless resources to scour.
I appreciate your take on fake media. Too much stuff is faked now because people's attention spans are so low but that doesn't mean that you can't create real content, it just has to be good editing and pacing for the video. It all depends on where you're detecting (or magneting) I went out twice yesterday but only included the footage of the afternoon because the entire morning was spent digging up stuff that was either garbage or I couldn't even find anything or they were all just sprinkler heads lol. This was my first video so I still have a lot of learning to do with the actual detecting and knowledge that I have with it as well as the video editing. Thanks for commenting.
Thank you for the 🤫secret s

I love the subsynth, it's surprisingly versatilebas u can modulate so many things as well as. now that i think about it, using several subsyths and automate the mix anf volume knobs anf use waveforms u draw urself u can almost make like a wavetable😮 wonder if it would actually work
That seems like a fun idea but it would be very tedious to set up. I've automated the waveform in the modular and it sounded more like a reese base
@@brockhardentertainment yeah tedious indeed xD
I have it working perfectly in Windows 11 both the standalone and the installed versions. Using Microsoft Visual C++ 2024 Redistributable (x86). Have you tried the standalone? It has the DLLs right in the folder.
I'm really interested to try this but unfortunately Im not really knowledgeable with computer stuff like this. Would you be willing to email me with a little more specific directions on exactly what I would need to do, id really appreciate it. I'm using the standalone version.
