I'm just today, 9-7-2024, seeing this vid, which is today 3 years old, so, I'm not really expecting you to see this post, but, if you do, TIA. Is there any type of epoxy that can pour 6-8" deep? Is there any such thing as cold cure epoxy?

Question, I want to place a sports decal on my mancave table. I was thinking I would use this product to put down one layer, place the decal over the top, and then place another layer over the decal. Would that work?

How can I pour clear epoxy resin on a chrome motorcycle gas cap, and encapsulate my dog tags in the epoxy on top of the gas cap? Without ruining my Dog Tags and Gas Cap, lol.

I’m wondering, to save on Epoxy, if a normal wood sealer would work as an undercoat. Then sand lightly and complete with an epoxy pour.

I have a side table with a deep engraved recess on the top, At one time it had a piece of glass on top,,,, Can I fill in the recess with resin and still see the engraving at the bottom? '

Is a heat gun required? Or could you instead just wait longer on the dry process?

What is that white border your using to hold the epoxy/wood? Its not plywood. Look plastic or marble.

Great video. I'm gearing up to do my first table. Actually I'm going to do a night stand first just to understand the process. The one thing I'm having difficulty with when watching this video and others like it is adhesion between pours to prevent delamination. Should I sand at some point to insure a good bond. I'm a finisher by trade and always sand in between coats that have cured. In my field we use the term, "wet on tack" to achieve a chemical bond within a certain amount of time.

If you pour in layers after it cures will you see lines or the layers?

I like how the wood grain shows through. I would imagine that it is sealed through the process. Am I correct in my assumption?

Love this video! I'm preparing to do my first table top. Which type of polyurethane did you use to seal the under side? Water based or oil based?

I don’t have any experience with epoxy but I feel you don’t need to put so much of it on that it’s running like crazy off of the sides.

Oh man, my first time working with Epoxy this is exactly what I did. 80oz of Table Top resin inside a 22" wide, half inch deep mold. I'm in Texas so my garage is around 90 degrees this time of year. About 30 minutes after the pour it starts smoking and rising like a forbidden pancake. I didn't know it can start a fire, though.

What about the smells of the epoxy.i don't see any mask.

I would like to learn (get a class)how do it.

Had to use a calculator 😂 in cm or mm you would have an easier calculation
