Alessi's ability is supposed to be reversing aging and making the opponents younger, why do characters like hoingo and dio just swap out for a different character instead of doing what it's supposed to be doing

The fact that many of the villains retain their stands after the transformation means that they had these stands since they were kids. This has some disturbing implications.

Couldn't find anyone else who did this, so I will just for the fun of testing my Jojo knowledge Jotaro (canon): His kid transformation when he found Alessi. His attack is a reference to him punching Alessi like Star Platinum and defeating him. Old Joseph (reference): Turns into part 2 Joseph. His moveset is a cut down version of the pre-existing Young Joseph character, with just his light, medium, and heavy. Young Joseph (reference): Teen Joseph. A reference to Speedwagon's flashback in which he finds out Joseph has Hamon on a plane. Joseph is holding his comic he was reading on that plane and has the same moveset as Young Old Joseph, but with Hamon effects. Polnareff (canon): Kid transformation when he is first hit by Sethan's effect. Black Polnareff (reference): The kid who picks up the Anubis sword. His attack features Anubis' silhouette. Kakyoin (reference): Kid Kakyoin from his flashback of his youth before getting sent to the Shadow Realm by Dio. New Kakyoin (reference): Same as regular Kakyoin but with sunglasses. He has the canvas, paintbrush, and scarf from his debut. His Hierophant is maskless, which I think happened in the Sun battle, but I'm gonna fact check that. Avdol (original): Kid Avdol. Iggy (reference): Ugly Iggy. His attacks contain a reference to when he made a sand image of (Shadow) Dio and pissed off Vanilla Ice. Dio (reference): Nukesaku. Once he is transformed, his face is split open, which is a reference to when Dio puts Nukesaku in the coffin. Shadow Dio: Alessi somehow revives Wang Chan. Dio's head is inside the container which has two holes in it. This and Dio's space ripper stingy eye attack are a reference to when he put the fatal wound into Jonathan. Devo (original): Kid Devo. Rubber Soul (reference): The woman he disguises himself as in the cart. Hol Horse (reference): The kid who observes Kakyoin and Polnareff after their car crash. His attack is him looking at the duo, which summons Hanged Man from his eye's reflection. Hol Horse & Boingo (original): Boingo tags in for Hol Horse. Presumably, kid Hol Horse is in the box Boingo was in. Chaka: Same as Black Polnareff. Pet Shop (original): Abnormally large egg Pet Shop was yet to hatch in. Closest we got to a f___s transformation. Midler (original): Kid Midler Mariah (reference): The woman who falls in love with Joseph. Her transformation animation is a reference to her skirt being lifted by Joseph's magnetism, and her attack is when she gets furious at Joseph for implying homosexuality with Avdol. Vanilla Ice (original): Kid Vanilla Ice Alessi (original): Kid Alessi. His stand seems different, but I can't identify any reference. Khan (reference): Cow that was hit by Anubis after he was flung by Iggy. Trivia: This implies that Devo, Hol Horse, Pet Shop, Midler, Vanilla Ice, and Alessi had their stands since they were kids, with the exception of Pet Shop who is implied to have had his stand before even hatching. This information is never stated to be true elsewhere.

I don’t think Jonathan would age at all because of his stand or the passion was most likely very strong he is the reincarnation for star platinum and the world in one I feel as though the passion is a very solid hermit purple it’s very strong beyond normal limits.

I feel so silly! At first I was like-, man thats a weird substitute to use instead of just showing a young DIO... Then I realized... I remember in the final few part 3 episodes before his ability was revealed, they opened the coffin and dio stopped time and replaced himself with a servent. Thats what he does to Alessi, he stops time and replaces himself. Thats insane.
