HOW TO put in a Stick Extension in your Hockey Stick
Why am I getting ads when I pay for premium
Its an ad thats not an ad
The composite extension do cost quite a bit more like $6 for the wooden compared to $35 for the composite.
In the Uk the price gap between the two isn't that much :) You can get a composite extension less than $20
At first i thought it was motercross gear😂
Do the Bauer Vapor's only take "bullet" profile wheels? I tried mounting my outdoor wheels, which have a round profile, and they rub up against the aluminum frame. They are the same diameter as the Bauer indoor wheels, the only difference is the profile. Will a regular outdoor "bullet" profile wheel work or do these skates only take hockey wheels?
Hey, great question. Without knowing exactly what wheel/brand we cant be certain. However round and bullet wheels usually have 1mm difference hence the rubbing. We would recommend for the hi-lo chassis to only use the “bullet” hockey wheels
The wheels are 80mm Luminous wheels. The rubbing is lateral. There’s enough clearance at the top since the diameter is the same, but the wheels don’t taper to a point like the bullet profile indoor hockey wheels, and the Vapor aluminum frame gets narrower where it connects to the boot. It gets so narrow that there’s very little room on either side of the bullet profile wheels and the round wheels just rub. ☹️
Owen!!!!!!!
$500 for a hockey stick that snaps by looking at it.
Better be careful then, I had to take a second mortgage out to buy this
@@qaradigmHow long until you take out a third? I’m guessing 2 weeks?
Mine snapped yesterday 😢
did you have warranty for it

Does it work with Bauer concept 3 ?
Yes it will fit. We put them on that helmet regularly
Thank you for the video! Do you have a suggestion for when a wheel does NOT spin smoothly after replacing all components on an indooor inline sk8? I took off the old wheels from the chassis and cleaned the chassis of any debris. Then I put together new wheels, spacers and bearings. Wheel spins fantastic in my hand and in the chassis location. It is when I start to tighten the screw that the wheel spins at half speed. I have taken off the affected 3 wheels off multiple times, rebuilt and still the issue remains.
Hey Kevin, have you checked the chassis isn’t bent?
@@HockeyStationUK Thank you for the reply! I believe the chassis is not bent, as there were no issues prior to the wheel change and will confirm tonight. I am leaning toward the spacers not being accurate in size and have replacements arriving tonight to confirm that theory.
@@kevindaly2461 Okay, yes you will need the right spacers for the bolts/chassis. Spacers make a huge difference so once in the skate if not correct they won't spin freely.
@@HockeyStationUK Thank you again for the assistance. Last night I replaced the 3 spacers and everything works as expected, the previous spacers appear to be not as precise a measurement as the others.
Why would Bauer not make a FIT 3? I use a Fit 3 Ultrasonic skates.
Hi does a Bauer extension fit in a ccm ft ghost 70 flex senior
Great question, it depends on which Bauer extension you have…but it might not sit flush in the shaft as slightly different shaft shape. If that’s all you have then you could always use a little tape on the extension that is going into the shaft. If you need anymore help give us a shout.
@@HockeyStationUK so which Bauer one do you think would fit the best
Hey, I want to buy a pair of hockey skates (just for recreational skating 1-2 times a week) and I can't decide between CCM Tacks AS-550, CCM tacks as-560 Bauer XLP. Which one do you recommend more? (I weight 65kg and my height is 175cm if that matters). Unfortunatelly, there are no hockey shops nearby so buying ones that fit better is not applicable for me ;/
Hey John, we find recreational skaters love the feel of the Bauer X-LP skates for comfort and skating, so definitely have those top of the list. CCM skates are also great however that line is changing in the next few months so not many 560 available anymore. Regardless X-LP far more popular, your weight for these will be absolutely fine :-)
I will go with Bauer XLP then :D I hope they will last long! Thank you for your help!
Trigger 8 looks 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I have the M4 and its fantastic. I have a more expensive Matrix as well and like the fit and ice feel of the m4 more.
Did you keep the original runner, or did you upgrade?
same runner, rec skater here, the skill of the sharpener matters more than the runner to me@@Cleanasdirt2182
I did not replace the runner. It feels fine to me. @@Cleanasdirt2182
I kept everything the same on the M4, I felt for me it was good as is@@Cleanasdirt2182
High-end without kryptonium chassis and this boot is just a parody of boot from hockey skates Hyperlite 2. Shame on Bauer!
Bauer selling a skate for $900ish with those chassis should be a crime. Bauer Vapor 2X Pro were the last non-customized skates getting from Bauer. ...Well, until you consider the price of those when they were released.
@@josephgrushack1485 I agree. Im fine because I have Vapor 2X Pro with cryptonium right now but when I see this crap I cant not leave a comment about it.
Now if only they were Fit 3 I’d be all over it
Joys of being a fit 3.....

I have a warrior supernovium sr, it’s 60 inches should i buy the warrior stick extension, or is there a specific one
A warrior one would 100% fit in it but also if you can’t get one of those then a Bauer one would slot in nicely too!

Thanks so much for everything you do! 😀
@HockeyStation do you know if a bauer stick extention fits into a true hockey stick
If i messed up, can I do it again with a glue gun?
Yes, it’s the same stuff really
Wait so will a flat head screwdriver work to remove the plug thing in the stick
Yes it will, the end plug will come out pretty easy with a flat head ✌️
Obviously 😑
Is it light?
100th like Gretzky said it was my turn to get pinned
If I had the money to buy a couple hundred of these I would. Great performance stick and the best I’ve used. I just wish they had a 100 flex.
thx for uploading. what age would work well for the Y7-10?
It honestly depends on their foot size. As long as their shoe size falls within youth 7-10 then it would work :-)
Думаю прикупить 😊
Bought these after chatong to Malcolm in store; first pair of skates ever and WWOOOOOWW... I was totally blown away with them. Absolutely awesome pieces of kit& for under 100 nktes can't go wrong.
Hey what brand extensions would fit a ribcor trigger 3d. Would kt have to be a ccm one?
Can you confirm what size/flex the stick is? Plus has it been cut down?
I use a ccm stick and use the Bauer extender and it fits fine
did these models come out this year?
They sure did!
Are they thermoformable
They sure are ✌️
@@HockeyStationUK Okay nice thank you very much🙏🏻
i want 6 of these, no 7....wait, give me 10...or 20
It would have very big price
Yea 300 dollars
In Canada
Same here. I bought two of them and if I was a millionaire I’d buy a couple hundred no joke. Best stick I’ve ever used followed by the LXP ( LX Pro ). I bought them for my minor pro PIHA team and then got on an MHL team recently and they do great. It would be nice to get a 100 flex version. The 85 is nice but wish it was a little less whippy. Not too much less, but just a little stiffer and it would be perfect.

Hi! I’m not sure so i prefer ask I have a intermediate Bauer vapor 65flex stick and I’m not sure if I’m supposed to use a vapor jr or a senior extension, or a Bauer nexus intermediate/junior50 extension? Thx!
We would recommend to use a senior extension ✌️
@@HockeyStationUK OK👌🏽 Thanks you very much for that really quick response !!
jrjust had to extendd my bauer suprime intermediate tonight and the jr nexus carbon extention was perfect@@taetrocool6847
The glue is already on the stick extension correct?
Yeah many extensions already come with glue, can confirm Bauer, True, A&R, Warrior and Howies Stick extensions come with a good amount of glue 😃
Will a hairdryer do the job?
No, just tried with a hairdryer, the glue didn't melt.
Nice😊
Would you recomend them
If you’re looking at getting more into ice hockey and looking for agility on the ice then we would recommend the X3 skates.
Can you show how to remove the ear piece? Thanks
Why are they LGBTQ etc? Or to show support? Speak with your wallet NHL players who want the tape and pride night. Give them some funds. Play hockey, use black and white tape like a pro ffs
What is the eifference to the AS Tacks 580? Is it a dealbreaker to wait for the 580 when they are cheaper/on sale? I currently have Supreme S25 and they seem to be a bit too wide and long (longest measurement is 303mm long and width was 115mm) what size should be better for ccm tacks as 570/580?
Good question. So the 570 or 580 would already be a decent upgrade compared to the S25 skates. The 570 and 580 have the same holder and tongue. Slight difference in steel. The main difference is the boot construction in the stiffness rating, with the 580 being slightly stiffer. The 580 also has a slightly more flexible tendon guard. As a whole I don’t think it’s a deal breaker but trying on both would be the best bets so you can feel which one feels right. Either skate would fit the same but I would honestly say get sized up properly on a skate scanner, if you get the wrong length and or width then that’s not a great thing ✌️ Anymore questions give us a shout!
tbh i use full toe stick tape job so i can get little better grip with the puck but nice tutorial
My son plays U18 Tier 1 elite. I bought him two hyperlite 2 sticks. He broke both of them in 4 weeks. He plays on two teams and I know it’s a lot of ice time but I feel they are very fragile. Well it seems all the top end stocks are like this now.
A - because he plays U18 and that level of play is very aggressive B - cuz top of the line sticks are lighter weight therefore more fragile My recommendation if you want long lasting good sticks, get the second best stick below the top of the line, similar specs but last longer
I can't even explain in words what it feels like to skate in these. I added Power Feet to the toe box and ultinate comfort!
Is there a heal strap option?
when the stick comes out?
September 15th 👀
