So I just built an auto sorter storage with a ton. And I mean A TON of redstone. My problem is my input chest is very close to said redstone. Id like a risk less elevator for like 3 or 4 levels with as little redstone as possible and it just never works in bedrock. Let's say my input chest is at 0. The hopper it feeds into for the sorter is -1. So the only other location I can have another hopper to FEED the input chest would also be -1 from the side. So I'm going to just Line hoppers away from my redstone. But I have yet to figure out how to keep an item elevator to connect to -1 and below. Everything ends up.at 0, level with my input chest and I just want all of this hidden under my floor. I spent hours building elevators and I could not get it work. My other option is placing a dropper under the input, but I'm dead level with all the redstone for the sorter and it needs to be powered and it interferes every.time. Storage sucks.

My test harness: 5 stacks of gunpowder being lifted from Y=1 to Y=70. Same input and output for each, input being a chest->hopper->hopper->dropper, and output being into water that flows sideways two blocks (three total counting source) to a hopper->chest. The goal was just to compare the speeds of the vertical transit; the could be improved with other input/output designs. All three activated simultaneously at the start. Water column: fastest at 3m20s for all five stacks. Cheap, though it does require access to soul sand and kelp. Dropper column: a mere 3 seconds slower. Most involved build, though with the advantage that it is silent at the bottom. My test was not silent at the top, but could be made that way. Solid block: slowest, but only by about 8 seconds. Potentially the easiest build since you could just use existing terrain to do it without having to dig or place any of the middle, just the input and output. In my test though it was also slightly unreliable; while one run got all five stacks to the output chest, another had 9 gunpowder that stuck in the top layer of blocks without falling into the output water stream. Personally I'll tend to stick with the water columns, but I could see situations for all three.

For the dispenser elevator, if the item is getting stuck in the last dispenser and not going into the chest, add one more level of the repeating redstone torch/block at the back so that the redstone torch is higher than the last dispenser and level with your chest. Fixed the problem for me. Good luck

i just build the dropper elevator but it keeps getting stuck on the last dropper right under the top chest. If rebuild it multiple times even in creative. Any tips?

did work in Java 1.19 with trapped chests for the fuel- & smeltmaterial-input (if you want to use hoppers to fill those)

Great video man! I just can’t get the last one working? I’ve got everything in place all the lights are going everything’s ticking, but when I place the items into the bottom chest and they go through the hopper into the dropper, they just won’t move from the first dropper into the one above it. Do you have any suggestions my good sir?
