Trying to figure out why it would take 6yrs to build a new stadium. In the US they build multi billion stadiums in half that time.
Building code is very strict in the UK and not quick to get approved. Plus there is also the fact that this is a MAJOR construction that would take place literally a couple of hundred metres from Old Trafford, so would have to stop on match days.
Build a New Trafford stadium with giving name rights to generate more income, and downsize and keep the old Trafford seems to be the best option.

If you want to bring in founds from the government or elsewhere you need to start over. If Sir Jim Radcliffe chose to put in the money himself he will be putting Ineos-Old Trafford on there something I dont mind, but to achieve stores, conserts and other stuff you need to build it from scratch. Old Trafford is made for football and were never intended for conserts or NFL, so if we want to get everything we want we need to get a new stadium. To other side is that Ineos already owns some of the ground souraunding Old Trafford and by tapping in to those aerias he want a bigger stake in the club of course. People think alot of the earia is Manchester Uniteds and some of it is, but some is also Ineoses property. And after seeing what he has done with the club I want to make shoure he gets my wote and the in the right places. The faster we get the Glazer family out the better.

If you renovate there will still be no leg room, new stadium next to and keep old Trafford scaled down.
Build a new one but it ought to be NOT like the Bernabeu air fryer Stadium.
There’s something special about playing on the same exact field as all the past greats. And people value that kind of history and will pay a premium for it; at least in places like Madrid, Barcelona, Chicago, Boston and NYC (msg). So I say renovate.

I beg Sir Ratcliff to improve the current stadium but stear away from the models of Santiago bernabeu and keep the current flair and beauty of the stadium. Soon the Santiago bernabeu will look taky, whereas old trafford will withstand time .
Thought the plan was to build a new stadium on the land at the back then, so the team doesnt have to find another ground to play in, slowly refurbish the current stadium and descale the capacity down to 30,000 for the women's team and academy squads

Just like we figured it out here in the US 15 to 20 years ago, new stadiums with additional revenue is what all big clubs have to do to survive against other big clubs. I always admired England for keeping old beauties alive but with Tottenham, West Ham, Everton now and probably Man United, Keeping an old stadium is not a way to survive anyway....
