Hard to say, he's been fairly consistent with me. A different Weapon or stat distribution could be part of it, weapon dps output.

@@adako25 this was with that wo long glaive. Sometimes he would never stagger and I countered him nearly every attack

@@toxicmatrix1337 interesting and weird, I wander, since he's a gimmick boss, parrying may not yield stagger like most enemies, focusing on his leg and unleashing all hell on it as fast as possible is what staggers him from my experience.

I used to think that it would be impossible or almost impossible to beat her or the game while dodge focused, turns out I was wrong since there are people who have beat the game without parrying. To each their own I guess, and I agree, it's funny to watch her hit air again and again, just having fun and Humiliating her.

That is one of the options, especially when you want to make her look really stupid 😂👍

I too converted poorly. I would’ve immaturely raged much less often if my perfect guarding skills -was- were much more consistent. I still managed to finish my excellent initial game today in 59h17 (2024-06-30)! 😜

Darksiders 1 is a blast, aye? Glad you like, will see how you'll like Darksiders 2, because before it came out I hoped to like it just as much, but I ended up liking it more for some reason, I think it may have been that special dodge mechanic introduced to it, that slowing down of time is addictive. They added a loot system for armor too, so you can play with different builds.

No problem, the timing can be tricky but I think it has much potential for the right player... I think it was hidden for a reason. It seems to work for my aggeesive playstyle but I definitely need more practice with it.

@@adako25 exactly. It basically has the same move as the twin dragon blade as a heavy attack while also having a guard/parry counter attack. Very unique weapon.

@@ulysses5340 right on, and the cool thing is that quite often if I mistime the deflection I still get a block where health lost by blocking gets recovered with instant rally (guard regain I think they call it here).

@@adako25 oh, yeah that's true. Also considering if you put a technique/dex scaling on this weapon, the scaling value becomes A. This weapon's officially broken lol.

It's the way this weapon is set up. You use triangle (or Y on xbox) to perform a (fable art) dodge similar to that of the Two Dragons Sword, and it will cost you 1 fable art slot. Here's the difference. With the glaive, when you press triangle at the right moment to parry or deflect the attack, then the dodge also parries, when you dodge-parry successfully then you do not lose a fable art slot. So that's what you see probably, fable art gets used when I special dodge but it comes right back because the dodge also parried. After a successful dodge-parry you have an option for a fable art counter attack with R1/RB or R2/RT. Using R1 fable art counter doesn't use up a slot, so it's free, and the R2 counter will use up one fable art. Hope that makes sense.

@@adako25 Just checked it. You are absolutely correct and thanks for the explanation. R1 riposte is free but deals less damage. R2 is very powerful. Triangle parry is free fable arts slot parry. This is quite good compared to what I previously thought.

@@pajeetsingh and a blast to play with, makes your attacks seamlessly transition into deflecting and countering and back into regular offensive combos and so on.. if you haven't yet check out my fight against the Parade Master with this glaive, I showcase the weapon's abilities.

​@@adako25 fun fact with 2 dragon sword u don't even need fable charge...it's just default parry with additional stunn the enemy to...or break his attack in between 😂...best weapon so far...

@@shubhamdebnath9752 correct, but the conversation Was about the fable art parry aspect of the weapons, not the charged R2/RT aspect, which the Glaive doesn't have.
