Jaime and Sansa are my favorite characters, seeing them and all other characters become jokes was so sad. Jaime's stupid lines towards the end really let the character down. Seeing him be burned by the people he saved, a bitter man, grow to accept that he did a good thing by king slaying and try to own that was wonderful. And then they crapped on it 😂

The perfect plot twist? I think the secret prince plot twist is pretty damn overdone and this one only had my eyes rolling into the back of my head. That said, if they were going to make a plot twist out of it then they should have at least used it for something cuz as stale as it was there was still wasted potential.

D&D DIDN’T understand Jaime, even in season 1. In the early seasons, they were just following the books VERY closely for the most part. Once they abandoned books 4 & 5 (A Feast for Crows and A Dance with Dragons), all bets were off. Also, GRRM was still involved through season 4. After that, he was out of the loop.

The fact that Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (The actor who played Jamie Lannister.) had arguments with D & D about their bizarre stupid ideas for the way the character is presented and even the conclusion itself. You know you really Fuck up badly.

I hate the idea I've seen going around that D&D are great at adapting, they just can't write original material, and that's why GOT failed, because they ran out of stuff to adapt. 1. S5 is mostly adapted material rather than original stuff, and I noticed a clear dip in quality even though I've never read the books. 2. Multiple characters are simply not adapted correctly. Stannis, Jon Snow, Tyrion, etc. Jon Snow is such a bland, uncomplicated good guy. Stannis is incredibly underwhelming. Tyrion has no character arc after he kills his father. 3. Martin was heavily involved in the show, from S1 up until S4. Then he steps back to focus more on writing ASOIAF, and all of a sudden the next season is noticeably worse than the others. No, D&D are not good at adapting (as is pointed out in this video, both movies Benioff has adapted are heavily criticised for their writing), they just had a very skilled handler.

I just recently started watching game of thrones recently. Because I’ve seen a lot of clips over the years, I have a good idea of what happens (although the red wedding took me completely by surprise) I’m kinda glad I didn’t get into it at the time because I am already aware how disappointed I’m going to be.

IMHO the first three seasons were great and the fourth one came damn close to that level. The fifth one was where things started to go south, which really showed in the sixth season - plots and lengthy sub-scenes not going really anywhere, more dramatic pauses in dialogues, characters doing things purely for the sake of the plot and generally dumbed down, etc.. Seventh season was really bad and the last one was just atrocious.

I see this is a smaller channel so I respect going out there and making content but one piece of advice to help future videos: Even if it takes multiple takes to get the complete sentence read in one go, take the time to do that. It will massively improve the watchability of the videos. The scripting is there already as well as your editing and visual presentation style will get you far but listening........to someone.........who only talks...........in two or..........three words...........at a time........... kills the video flow. Best of luck on future content.

The wildfire was mostly there BECAUSE of her dad King Arys. Maybe it will be a weird accidental fulfillment of a dead king's desire. I think- Cersei will become obsessed with the childhood prophecy and fear Dany enough to be willing to kill herself and burn along with King's Landing. She'll find a way to use the caches of wildfire from Arys to destroy the city, and won't even need to have Dany ACTUALLY use her dragons in order to get the blame for the destruction of the fire placed on her as a foreign invader who's known to use dragons. Cersei will willingly kill herself and go out with most if not all of the city in a way that uses the wildfire of Arys and leaves the easiest option for people to choose will be to blame Dany for the destruction caused by the fire, even people close on her may turn on her.

I’m not sure people realize hbo owns the rights to make the show and D and D contracts are fulfilled. That means HBO will remake the show. This time with the full plan of 10 seasons of 10 episodes etc. my guess is they’ll wait for the death of GRRM. Or the miracle of a dream of spring. HotD and all the spin offs will finish, they’ll be a short break then the announcement!
