I bet that they wanted to help as they put the lights there to begin with.Plenty of daylight hours to play sports,look at church towers,etc we don't need any of that type of light pollution at all .

i go lymm high school and this complaint was great, we got a new and bigger Astroturf and new lights
Fantastic work! Congratulations! Persistent attitude and engagement of the students is inspirational... and can help the momentum of other successes worldwide. This issue of light pollution must be driven on the citizen level to succeed.
