I make stuff, it's what I do.
I'm a multi-medium artist, sculptor, maker and puppeteer. I make masks, marionette puppets, props, sets and objects of wonder for private clients and my own expression. Occasionally I share some of the things I make here or some of the techniques I use to make those things. I also live and work in a bread truck which I have converted to a wood shop.

I’m making a batch of 25 marionette carving kits and it’s an enormous amount of work. I have to hand-make over 3,000 parts!
This is just one part, a wooden tube which is part of the control.
I’ll have more videos of my process soon.
For now I’m working like crazy since these ship on the 15th of April.
Thanks to my Patrons, many of whom will be getting one of these kits in the mail.

Dude that's the sickest intro
I love the video. I saw another video about making eyes, but it would only let the eyes move. It wouldn’t let them blink though, but this one can do both. I’ll make sure to try this When I’m making a puppet.
After carving my humpback whale’s lazy eye , this video will help me from now on . Thanks
Best video I've watched, i have learned so much from this video, so glad i stumbled across you.
Quite informative, but the background music is annoying, making your voice difficult to hear, and focus on!
Great job…You have a Nice Sharp knife. Where I can buy and the wood.I bought wood from Temu very hard wood.
I love this. Thanks for share.
Had a very bad experience with this person. Doll sent a year ago. Neither the doll (value $350.--) was received nor the doll repaired. So fraud. Be careful, there are fraudulent intentions. Neither the doll has been received nor has the person Geahk Burchill reported. Caution. Not recommendable !!
How much would it cost for you to make one eyeball? That moves cause I was thinking about making the spellbook from hocus pocus !!!!!
Last June I fell and broke my leg and I’ve been recovering ever since. I get out of the rehabilitation facility in about two weeks and maybe I can begin working in my shop again. If you’re not in a huge hurry, feel free to contact me through my website www.geahk.art
It is rare that I look for something and find exactly what I was looking for. Good Job!!

Not sure why this video does not come up in the search engine when searching for wood carving. Found this link on face Book Whittling and wood carving. Your articulation in mastering of the English language is profound. Your instructions on dealing with wood grain and how to make your cuts is enlightening. Would you please create more wood carving tutorials? I am sure they would greatly be appreciated by all. Thanks, Mr. Burchill for sharing your knowledge.
Amazing 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Thank you so much 🙏🏻
Thank you so much 🙏🏻
Can you cast one for me ?
I am a recycle type artist. Loved this video. Ty❤
An absolute masterpiece that will inspire many future puppeteers and marionette-makers. Being a multidisciplinary artist is rich but challenging. However, as a ‘Jack (Geahk) of all trades’, in the most positive sense of the word, you are the living proof that it is possible.
❤❤❤
Hi, I’m looking for the 8 other parts to this… did they get made?
Unfortunately, the external hard drive where I kept the footage for the rest of this series, failed. At the time it was simply a frustration and I only had a few hundred subscribers, so I didn’t deal with trying to recover the footage. Since then, this video has blown up. It’s clear people want me to finish this series. I get contacted almost daily. So, I will finish it, or remake the series from scratch.
This was such a great video for me as a beginner! I've never seen a more detailed explanation of wood grain and my failed attempts now come to light as to why. Just getting into doing eyes on my carvings and this tutorial (knife only) in MHO was excellent. Thanks so much. PS: The closeup views are so great!!
Outstanding video.
So relieved. I saw the headline and thought I was going to have to unsubscribe.
I’m fairly unconvinced either way on guns but I lean towards the idea they give people the illusion of control while generally supporting the dominant paradigm.
I think your videos are amazing. But that puppet face looks terrifying to me 😆
Fiery the angels fell burning with the fires of orc
Do you ever worry that while making your eyes Rutger Haur might burst in and question you about Tyrell Corporation?
A big wet smootch before he pushes my eyes into their sockets? Maybe that’s why I haven’t uploaded part 2.

Fantastic video! You explaian this so well. Muchos gracias 🤟🤟
✨✨✨✨
Amazing work! Hope you still get to up load the rest of the videos. Can’t wait to see!
I've been watching every eye carving video I could find. Yours is not only the least complicated, but it's the most informative. I'm new to this art form, so I wanted as much information as possible before buying tools and supplies. I'm interested in knowing what is most needed when starting out. Thank you for posting this! Blessings, Health, Prosperity and Peace to you and yours and to all who read this! 👍😘😇💖
Excellent work
This is awesome. Seen the process before, but now that you told me not only how long it takes and where to get everything to Make the new eyes. Not just the molds, I'm convinced. I need to start making my own. I'm spending a fortune in time, shipping and work around for eyes that cost more, aren't what I really want, but I cannot get or cannot get any more. I always save one blank or if left and right eye is different, a pair. Can't wait to learn about the mech
I compliment you on your carving, but I’m really impressed with your camera work. You show the cuts so well, did you have one of you eyes replaced with a camera?
Stick to carving puppets
Please make a part two!! I was thinking "this better not be another 3D printed video" And I saw the rig. Looks awesome
Beautiful Work 💯thanks for Sharing 🌠
this is the best video I have seen on the making of marionettes, you need to write a step by step with drawings, there is nothing out there
I keep catching myself blowing on my phone screen to clear the debris 😂
Incredibly helpful! Thank you for the detailed explanation of wood grain and carving away from what you want to protect; that way of thinking really clicked for me. This is a great lesson for any woodworker. Cheers!
Tyrants will always try to gain power. The Second Amendment is not the only tool in the Freedom tool box. Remember it is the Second Amendment. We have the First and more important Amendment, the freedom of speech. We also have a government system of checks and balances. Both of these are being used to fight against Tyranny now. The Second Amendment should be our last effort for the population to regain control. So the fact that we haven't used the Second Amendment to fight tyranny is not a bad thing. It just mean we have not exhausted all other means in this fight.
Awesome! I've been avoiding eyes on my carvings, now I don't have to! I was also wondering where you got the knife used in this video?
Thank you. The knife is made by Warren Cutlery and the blade is their LD2 blade. The handle and blade are around $26usd on their website. I’ve been using them for 20 years and I highly recommend them.
@@GeahkBurchill Thank you!
This is so amazing ...
Maravilhoso DIVINO trabalho 🙏🏿🙏🏿👋👋👋
So helpful. Thank you for the carving details. 😊
Hey Jack! If after two years you're not planning on make a second part, at least change the name of it to "making mold of balls", as it was 20 minutes of wasted time. Your mechanisme looks dope, dough.
Great work! What size torsion spring is that?
Just a little tip for free hand silicone brushing like the teeth on your extra, first brush the teeth lightly, then with a cotton ball rolled open, so it's thin. Cut a piece of cotton slightly larger than your brushed area, Soak up whats left in in the cup with the cotton piece you've prepared and place it onto the area you've brushed. The matting gives more stability without too much silicone leaking off your work piece. Love your tutorial, very clear to understand.
Super ! 👍🙏
Duuuuude....I so appreciate and admire your skill - but it will be wayyyyyyy easier for me to pay the $28 than to even come clossssse to attempting this mold!!!!!! 🍂✌️😆🍁
