My Live Streaming Setup
zhlédnutí 7KPřed 2 lety
In this video, I walk through setting up my Mevo Start cameras to live stream a baseball game. Setup takes me about 10-15 minutes. The core of the setup is 3 Mevo cameras using The Mevo Multicam App. I stream to CZcams using SidelineHD over RTMP. The cameras use the Mevo local WiFi and stream using an Samsung S20 Android Phone over T-Mobile 5G. I don't have a hotspot, router, or any cables. Whe...

    How do you do with battery life? I lived streamed a board meeting with 2 Mevos and was keeping my fingers crossed the batteries did not die. Also what resolution do you stream in? I kept getting slow Internet connection warnings and I was connected to local WiFi

    For someone who's into livestreaming, the audio on this video is very poor but I appreciate you doing this video.

    Great stuff. I had to open mine up and use a flathead screw-driver and hit it with a hammer to push down the tapered spacer in the center joint that pushes on the pin. It had gotten stuck in the "up" position when I over-tightened the screw. By hitting it with a hammer it fell down into the recess and freed up the rod. I will add some lubricant there now and hope it won't get stuck again. It probably gets stuck because these cheaper ones don't have small enough tolerances and the metal might be a bit more soft so there is a chance for the rod to grab on the spacer.

    Suggestions for overheating in the sun?

      Hi! The Mevo Clam is great for protection from the sun for the Mevo Start camera and a fan is available for very hot days. If you have a GoPro, I also make a GoPro Clam. Both can be found in my Etsy shop: maxiiimus.com. If you use a phone, I'm finishing up a design for phones which will also be in my shop soon.

    Mine got wet a few weeks ago and seems to stick since then. Does putting in some lube, such as 3-in-1 oil or WD40, help from the arm freezing?

    • @maxiiimuscreations
      @maxiiimuscreations Před rokem

      Yes, 3 in 1 is probably better than WD40, especially for water. If it just seems that it's not moving smoothly, lubricant will help quite a bit. The oil can also help repel water and you shouldn't really have to worry about the arm getting wet.

    Love my Mevo clam. It has worked just fine here in Chicago in direct sunlight at the baseball field - 90 plus degrees.
