Yes, I bought him online when Home Depot did their initial drop. I am sure he'll be in stores once Home Depot puts out their full displays, and he may pop up online again at some point too. The jaw is pretty light and easy to move if you clip it like I did, so there are many different servos that could work. Definitely no need to buy the one I did (if you clicked my link I'll get a percentage even if you pick a different servo - so thank you!) Hitec is a quality brand, but I too am experimenting with some cheaper servos right now. I suggest just not going with too big with the jaw servo if you want to add other servos in the head. I just put more servos in his head to try for a 3 axis skull movement. I need to test it now to see if the movement I got is worth it. Another skull I did has less movement but was much easier to achieve with two servos mounted outside. I'll hopefully get that video out soon and compare the two options. I have bought a few different brands of servo extensions and they have all basically been the same, so mostly pay attention to the length. Best is to jump in and give it a try, I have been learning as I go and while there are challenges, it is super rewarding when it works. Let me know how it goes. Thanks for watching!

After watching your video I am excited again to work on using the projections. I still think I will go with the fog screen for one. My screen is not very sophisticated, but it still looked pretty neat. With this guy I would LOVE to recreate what Disney did in the Shanghai Pirates of the Caribbean ride - the pepper's ghost Skeleton to Jack Sparrow illusion, but that might be way above my level. Haha, I'm glad you caught that. I wasn't sure if I set up the sprinkle joke clearly enough to land. I think you will really like the Captain, but I totally understand that he won't fit exactly with the other skeleton pirates. I was thinking of trying to pepper's ghost him to make him still come across as undead, it all depends on if I have the space to get the lighting right (and if I can pull it off.) The hat is probably the worst part, it was a little difficult to get it to sit right. You might be able to get it to sit a bit lower, or maybe make some simple mods to it. Yes he is! The reaper is waterproof and rated for winds up to 30 miles per hour according to SVI. Mine has seen plenty of rain this pat week and so far so good. Thanks for watching!

What? I'm not crying, my eyes just sweat a lot sometimes. It would be sweet if you got to visit his haunt and not only support a great young man but also see his cool collaboration with Distortions in person. I loved this story and prop so much, I knew I had to stop editing my other videos and make this. And one good deed begets another, because it lead to the creation of the second coolest monster ever, Monsta Man!

I remember reading about Batkid. Such a cool idea, I would have loved to be part of it. While in my head I could have played Bane, more likely I would have been cast as the Penguin, lol. It's amazing how the whole city made it happen, nice to see people coming together for a great cause.

While I think the reaper is a cooler prop because it moves and I love his look, if you want something that feels massive and is more impressive from the street then the Inferno Pumpkin is probably a better buy for you. I don't have the Inferno Pumpkin, but I have the 12 foot Skeleton and the Inferno Deadwood Skeleton. The reaper, while still a huge prop, feels a lot smaller than both of those props. I also think the Inferno Pumpkin probably is one of the most impressive props form the street because of the way he lights up. Both great buys, depends on what you want, but based on your question the Inferno Pumpkin Skeleton might be a better fit.

Poor Michael, he deserves a better hair stylist. Most of my animatronics get boxed up, a few end up in my office space as year round decorations, and my 12 foot skeleton dared the new England winter and survived. That said, by May I had built Frankenstein's Monster and Darth Vader who now occupy my living room along with the Werewolf I performed eye surgery on. So it isn't long before things creep back into our living space. If I had the space to leave them up, I probably would, it would just be easier, plus I could enjoy them more often.

Yup, these podcasts take me way too long to edit. I have to say, the projection they used is actually really good, so I do like him better than I thought I would. Add another half skull to my score. If I did a carnival theme he would be a definite purchase.

So while they will definitely be either part of the haunt or part of the party decorations, they can't stay where they are. You would think I would be smart enough to build him where I can keep him up, but nope, I did not, lol.

I am wondering that myself. The "layered demon voice" is only mentioned on one phrase, but it seems strange they would only use that once. Like you said, the phrase they show is only the kid singing voice. Kind of a bummer if they don't use the demon voice more often. Guess we'll find out when people start getting him. I'm loving the podcasts. You guys really touch on everything. Out of that lineup the corpse bride animatronics are the clear winners imo.

Overall he isn't too bad to put together (even if I did make a bunch of mistakes.) I feel the witch is a bit more frustrating due to the bottom of the broom. Otherwise they are pretty similar. But he is totally worth it and I believe is a much better prop than the witch. I think you'll love it.

The paint does look darker in the videos. I did pick this up but did not open it yet, so when I do my video review I will let you know if it looks really off in person. If it does I will probably just paint mine, but it is kind of silly if we have to just to make it look right. The color should be the easiest part to get correct.

Glad you got this awesome prop, even if you have to wait a little longer. Honestly, I probably could have waited, I have three 12 footers standing in my driveway right now and they all have to come down soon so I can start building my haunt. Reaper is awesome though, it'll be worth the wait.

I agree that he is one of the best! Really love this one so far. The build quality is pretty good, so I think he would fair well enough in the wind. That said, we don't often get crazy wind here (especially in my driveway which is cut into the ground) so I can't say for sure. Thanks for watching!

Hahaha, don't you love how we can convince ourselves that we need to buy more cool Halloween props? I did that with a couple of items during our Home Depot stream, and so far I am happy with everything I received. Of course, you really could make an amazing underworld scene with those props together, so I agree!

I really like him; he is a great statement piece for any haunt. If Home Depot continues the current trend, then they will most likely have him back next year. Especially if he sells well. They brought back the 12 ft witch for the third time this year with a costume change, so I expect the same for this guy. Thanks for watching!
