If someone here is trying to stretch Higher mesh count mesh, be very careful not to stretch mesh too much! I tried stretch 120T mesh with those canvas pliers and ended up ripping mesh 3 times! In the end I stretched my mesh only by hand and the mesh is now good!

I haven't tried this with aluminum frames. I imagine that would be your best bet. If it works, do tell! I have a bunch of aluminum frames I'd love to re-stretch.

If you wanted to portion out your powdered eggs/potatoes/milk into smaller ziplock bags say if your doing a solo trip, how long do you think they would keep for?
It definitely depends on conditions. If you keep them dry and relatively cool you'd probably be just fine for the duration of weeklong trip. The eggs will let you know when they spoil - quite stinky!

I am going to hit up BLICK for a wood frame! We are trying to build a 4 foot by 7 foot screen for some big format screen printing! Any advice at that size?
Exciting!! The largest screen I've stretched was just shy of that and this method scales just fine. The biggest issue is actually the wood frame warping over time and with exposure to water. Good luck!

i wouldn't recommend using metal utensils on the nonstick pan, it will really mess with the nonstickness

There's an upholstery handtool you can use that makes it pretty easy - try searching "upholstery staple remover" online and you'll find it. Or you can dodge them for a couple re-streches.

I have a cheap & fast substitute for Biscuits & Gravy. Break up into small pieces a package of Ramen (don't use seasoning packet) and put in a freezer bag. Then add 1/2 packet of Pioneer Country Gravy mix. Add 1 cup boiling water to freezer bag, shake, let sit for 5 minutes.
I just Google and it say elderberries are toxic. I confused help me I want to make for my kids this winter
Elderberries can cause you to get sick if you eat the berries fresh. If you follow the recipe and boil them down they are totally safe for consumption.

Thanks for the info! I'm trying to find a way to make Elderberry syrup that is shelf stable (no refrigeration) for at least a year. It seems like there should be some way to do this with honey and vinegar. Can you give me a source to learn how to do this?
Hi Gail, that's definitely possible. You'd want to include some alcohol (75% or higher) in the syrup. I haven't tried this myself so I don't have a recipe for you, but tinctures are often used to enhance the immune-boosting properties of syrups and greatly increase the shelf stability. Hope that helps!

Caveat: The heat is not distributed evenly on the pot as Jetboil claims. You can see that in this video where the center of the pancake is almost charred. I tried making a grilled cheese with tomatoes as shown in the Jetboil video that advertises the pan. Yep, the center of the bread was almost charred. You definitely need to keep lifting whatever you are cooking to make sure it doesn't burn. YMMV.

Thanks for well made video! Q: After much printing do you find the screen looses its tension much? Does the screen ever rip around the staples? I am considering putting a layer of glue on top of the screen and staples around the frame in hopes to give it more strength and durability. Anywho curious about your thoughts! Thanks
Eventually the screen will lose some tension, but usually over time from pressure washing out an old stencil. I find I can still use the screen as long as the tension is even. The screen should only be at risk of ripping while you're stretching it, and if it does start to rip at that time, just ease up on how tight you're stretching it. I usually run a border of duct tape /screen printing tape around the top border of the screen, above the staples when I'm done. I've never needed to use glue--couldn't hurt but might be harder to take off/re-stretch if residue remains. Hope that helps!

Great question. Our igniter bit the dust a while back and it feels easier to carry a lighter than to fix it - ha!
