RC10Talk.com was started back in 2006 as a place for vintage R/C enthusiasts to gather. 15+ years later it's still going strong. I don't know exactly how this CZcams channel will be used right now. Just getting it started and we'll see where it goes.
Another retired racer - WOIN style RC10
This was one of the two original WOIN style builds back in 2007-2008. I eventually raced at the inaugural Vintage Off-road Nationals at RCHR in Waterbury, CT in 2008. Has been on the shelf since then.

Gorgeous car
Thanks!
Nice setup! Cool mix of vintage parts put together.
Thanks!
Nice !
Thanks!
I had the RC10 graphite, beautiful car
Thanks! My first rc10 was a graphite team car back in '92. Still have it. Not video ready at the moment though.
Did you have to flip the rear arms around at all?
Yeah, they have to be flipped since the shocks are now on the back.
Those losi rear hubs have pretty much the same geometry as the RPM wide arm set then?
The RPM Worlds hubs only have 1 hinge pin hole, which gives a lower ride height. The Losi hubs have 2 so you are able to raise it, also.
@@rc10talk pretty similar offset otherwise?
@@vivos71 Yeah, same offset.
Very nice bud
Thanks!
My first carpet track rc was a carbon chassis RC10 DS. That thing was a beast, I enjoyed racing it.
Surprisingly, even with all of the 80's-90's AE vehicles I've owned, I never had a DS. Always threatened to get one though. Ha
so cool !! please post more!!!
Thanks!
Super cool
Thanks!
Very cool stuff, thanks for showing it off! It is cool to see up close all the little tweaks and changes made to it!
Thanks! Yeah, it didn't need a whole lot. Just a little here and there to make it all work.
One could probably run Tamiya Astute wheels with that setup eh?
Not sure. I don't have any to try it either.
Thank you for uploading another video of another AE of yours. Very nice and a beautiful btw.
Thanks for watching!
Awesome chasis work!
Thanks!
I race my worlds car every Tuesday. I absolutely love the old RC10.
Congrats to the winner 🤙🏻
5:04 That blue car is tough as nails, had some other crashes and still ripped around like nothing happened
Looks really nice indeed. Thx for sharing it, along with the story behind this car
Thanks! And thanks for watching.
Nice ride. Loving the Paint on it too!
Thanks! RCCA did a review on the RC10 CE in the Dec. '90 issue (IIRC). The body was painted like this and I always liked it.
Very nice, looks really sharp 👌👌
Thanks!
Love your content. Building a rerelease just now while watching all of your cars ✌️
Thanks! Have fun with your build.
Man that looks awesome
Thanks!
Whats a b1.5?
If you go back through my older videos, I explain it in on that one. But it's basically converting an RC10T2 into a buggy.
Awesome builds! Do most of your buggies have the pro line wide body wheels on them or just this one? Really like the look on this build
Thanks. This is probably the only one with a full set of Proline widebody wheels. An earlier video of the Masami car with the green tub, the fronts are widebody. I had a bunch of new sets, but once Jconcepts came out with the 2.2 Mono wheels, I pretty much sold them all off.
Love those original RC10s! Can't have enough of them.
You can have enough, but you just ignore that and keep building them. Haha!
so it not a replica
Picky, picky..... 😄 Fine, it's a tribute.
I use to go to the Ranch in pomona CA.@@rc10talk
Keep them coming
I really like the copper anodizing, great color choice!
Thanks! I like it too. I'm sure at some point I'll have another chassis set done with it.
That not the same chassis
How's that?
I'm loving the videos. Its awesome to see cars from my era of racing. I still have a worlds car. I wish the tracks would go back to loam and get away from the hard pack. Offroad racing needs to have dirt flying!! Keep up the great videos.
Thanks for watching! The only places you are gonna find those kind of tracks anymore are in backyards unfortunately. Where I race locally it's hard packed, But you can at least see the tire tracks when you get out of the groove a little bit, unlike the sealed tracks.
Is that an MIP Transmission? What kind of differential does it have? I have one and it has no way to put a screw into the outdrive. One of the outdrives has 4-40 threads in it and the other has a hole that is too small for a 4-40 screw to fit through it. Is there a diff screw that will fit this differential?
The trans in this car is an RPM 2.65 stealth conversion. I'm guessing you have a MIP SP-1, maybe? If you go to our RC10Talk forum, in the "scan archives", there are a few MIP instruction sheets in there. If you have the Pro ball diff, the hole in the one outdrive is there to access the diff screw to adjust the diff. I don't remember them being 4-40 though.
Thanks for the info, I'll check on there, only one outdrive is threaded 4-40. I was thinking it was like the stealth and I was looking for the T-nut that goes in the outdrive on one side and a thrust bearing and screw on the other one.
I love these videos. I grew up with the Blackfoot and RC10 Champ. Had a B2 for several years wish I still had it.
Thanks for watching! I wanted a Blackfoot, but my first hobby grade RC ended up being a Midnight Pumpkin. Still have it, actually.
Boy those rims and paint make em pop. When and where is the vintage NC race? I’m out in Raleigh.
It's ibeen in January at World of RC in Lucama.
Awesome Cars as always, Legendary😁👍
Thank you sir! See ya this weekend.
Looks great man! Did you end up dying the antenna mount?
Thanks! Yeah, the outer half of the rear wheels, rear shock bushings and the antenna mount were dyed.
Another really nice build. I like the format of the videos also. No frills. 👍
Thanks! I would like for the videos to be a little more professional. But that's only gonna come with better understanding of the video editing software. I don't see that happening any time soon. Haha
Thanks for sharing your awesome collection! What kind of shock are we looking at here?
Thanks! These are the AE V2 shocks from the re-release Worlds kit.
Another Beautiful Build 😳👍
Thanks!
Looks very nice man.😊
Thanks!
Beautiful car. Good idea using a drill press as a mill. Safer than a hand held drill. Anyways .. Another great video and car. Love the paint job and everything else. 🏁🏁
Thanks. Yeah, sometimes you gotta be resourceful and work with what you have.
That hole in the chassis was made to be able to take the servo horn off without removing the servo.. Old school 🔥🔥🔥
Yeah, I kinda reference that when I say "unless they were really bad when they drilled it". Meaning their location. I also had this tub mixed up with another I had with holes drilled on either side that I filled before painting, and they definitely weren't for the servo horn lol. This one probably is, but their placement is pretty bad.
i would love to send you my rc10 and you hooked it up for me
That could be arranged if you're interested.

Very cool. Looks awsome.
Thanks!
what wheels do you use on these? 2.2 from jc ? or you have some sort of mod to run bigger wheels? car looks great !
On this car, it's the 2.2 wheels that came with the RC10 Worlds re-release. These are the white version. On other cars, it would depend on the axles and/or the suspension setup I'm using as to which wheels will work best on it.
RIP Brian Kinwald. Out of all the racers Brian is the one that I remember reading about in all the magazines when I started the hobby in the early 90's. If I ever had the chance to build a clone it would have to be Brians winning 1993 Worlds car Hint, Hint :)
It's a good one to do. There's a good amount of pictures out there to get it close.
Very nice set up there. The body paint colors, the decals, the purple chassis, Jconcepts wheels...etc. Clean. 👍🏼
Thanks!
I just recently was reminded of RC again lately. Still have my original gold chassis RC10 from the 80's, along with a Schumacher Cat and a Bolink Eliminator. Haven't run any of them since '92, the year I graduated high school. Thankfully I managed to keep it all lol
It's cool you've hung on to it. I still have a lot of the stuff I had from when I was a kid, too.
Nice video love it❗😃👍
Thanks!
Looks fantastic!👌
Thanks!
