I bought one of these and I think it is a piece of crap. Perhaps it would work if the chains were replaced with cables or cord. As it is the chains gets caught and bound in the wrong position as you turn the handle which prevents it from working properly.

No they use this to push the rocks down and bring cream up and then run the bull float even tho they do the same thing the rolling tamper helps the bull float glide cause the rocks are down and the cream is already up

These are absolutely garbage.. I bought the entire set and I can already tell you that this is a get rich quick scheme. This cost them nothing to make and they charge the same price for it as magnesium set. The things chipped and had gashes in them from aggregate and do not last. They also hug concrete and are not remotely easy to clean like stated. Lastly, it’s a glorified and less effective wooden float and I say this because you CANNOT get a clean finish with this as it leaves pits everywhere instead of working up cream to smooth out your surfaces and properly finish them. Do not waste your time or money on this garbage. You don’t have the time to waste to test a product that doesn’t work in the middle of a pour or the money to waste on a product when you can get a aluminum or magnesium mag/float. This is a get rich quick gimmick using a cheap material to try and cut cost to pocket more money. This was poorly engineered also being way to damn thick on the edges. Be warned. We paid for it and tested it so you don’t have to because there are NO REVIEWS on this product. Now you have one.

Love all your products Made in the USA all high quality stuff I use for bricklaying. Question if William Rose started in 1798 in blacksmith shop and in 1864 he started making trowels that is 66 years plus whatever age he was when he started. He must have been old. Anyway the Rose trowels tool steel is second to none for wearing and durability when cutting a brick. Other trowels end up with nicks in the edges. You should really do more on youtube to promote your tools.

I came across an interesting one recently . A new marshalltown trowel I looked at in a hardware store had a sticker on it which said ( made in u.s.a with global materials ) so some or all of the materials that went in to the manufacture of the trowel were sourced outside the u.s.a . It was an 11 inch Philly with the red durasoft handle .

+PaddleDogC5 the marshalltown trowel I had in my hand with that sticker I mention on it was not a qlt trowel it was a marshalltown premier line 19/11 Philadelphia brick trowel with the red durasoft handle that was manufactured in the u.s.a. It was an extremely well made trowel.the qlt range from marshalltown ,your correct are made in China, but if you find them to be crap that's because there made to lower specifications than the Marshalltown premier line of tools ,it has nothing got to do with them been made in China .the Chinese make them to specs set by marshalltown If you want the Chinese to make you a top of the range pro trowel they can do that as well .At its most basic level (and we will forget about the red durasoft trowel handle for a moment) a trowel is made from a lump of steel and a piece of wood by putting those stickers on the trowels are marshalltown telling us they can't source these simple raw components in the u.s.a.at a cost effective price?
