We have gotten a sparrow just like this one at our home,it had no parents and we were scared cat might eat it, so we have took him, it's been a week,it can't fly yet and it comes to our feet, hands is getting along well but it never makes any sound. 2:08 this is still a useful and good video, although you can clearly see in the video the line mark where the faucet was cut is damaged from the cutting. That is a risk of this method so people doing this should be aware they will likely make such damage even though the faucet will still likely still be useable afterward

I just took home a fletchling, i could not find the parents anywhere and i waited for a while i couldnt see anybirds or hear any apart from pigeons. Got anytips on looking after it? It still have some of the white fluffy baby feathers on it

I found a baby Grackle yesterday while watering. Parents were freaking out. I couldn't see the nest but I also have very tall trees. At dusk I decided it was enough and brought him inside. I ran to the pet store and got grubs and super worms I can gut load. THANK you for the information. Going to apply to raise little Petrie here :)

If using tweezers to feed a baby bird, use one made of plastic, preferably, or use a metal tweezer with a blunt end. The sharp, pointed ends on a tweezer can injure the inside of the bird's mouth.

This worked great. We had an issue of a corroded ring that was stuck to the spigot. We sawed an x with a hacksaw, used the screwdriver and it popped right off. After seeing it, no amount of WD-40 would have helped.
