Aesthetic-wise, I think I really like this level. I like how this level looks and sounds.

The purple tentacle description sounds like a Maniac Mansion reference.

Recording was a bit extra zoomed in. I was confused and shocked at first why you were making so many "leaps of faith" onto that log because I couldn't see it at the bottom of the video. Those tentacles are fickle things.

I dig the Oasis remix. One of my all-time favorite Keen songs. Loved the music change to another version too. 2:26 \*checks wiki\* Holy crap, this *is* a rehash of Lifewater Oasis with some stuff added. Ain't that something? 12:04 Optiquats are starting to become my favorite enemy in this game. They're just so danged silly and they fit well into the style of Commander Keen.

Another old DOS content reuse noticed here. That music was an unused track from Bio Menace titled "Guess". 2:49 Well *that* was, uh...unexpected. Wonder how that worked out programmatically? Maybe there were multiple sprites of the monster thing just hanging around in sections of the water? In any case, definitely a different end from bouncing off the water repeatedly. 6:43 The Pat Pat and to be honest the slugs too are a nice throwback to classic Keen. A bit of familiarity showing that it's all the same universe yet still pretty different. Those are some pretty high quality Pat Pats, too. I wonder if they were borrowed from the Marooned on Mars Galaxy Mod? 17:06 That's...also new. These varying "deaths" are a nice addition.

You should try my Keen Dreams Gold Edition, which is still under updating, but will soon be released. :)

I... have 0 memory of this level and I'm not sure if you even played this on your channel. I vaguely remember you mentioning "Foray in the Forest" but I don't remember. Well... no matter. That means I can enjoy this video without the Deja Vu (I've been in this place before)

The level of detail in this mod is really something. I like how Keen's Photachyon Transceiver from CK4 got worked into this as a music player. Neat new artwork and also reuse of artwork and assets from old DOS games. Some things I've noticed are the forest background around Keen's ship is from level 3 of Cosmo's Cosmic Adventure, and the music in the help menu is "Cruz" from The Incredible Machine and I'm not sure but I think the one from the level you were just playing was from Spear of Destiny.

I noticed you don't have a playthrough of commander keen 6 (Aliens ate my babysitter) which was the one after this one. BUT goood job, loved 4 and 5, as well as your playthroughs of them, even though that was 6 years ago... better late than never?

Thanks for playing. The final secret wasn't in the last area because it felt scummy putting a secret in a area you can't exit from. I'm not entirely sure where the last secret might be though. I've kinda forgot. It probably wasn't important or didn't have any messages. The space gravity in the final fight was intentional because the idea was you're in a weird alien world and you have low gravity so you're flying around the place, shooting demons. I probably should put more demons in the room and change some hell knights to barons. Life got hard again so not sure when I'll be back to making maps. I'm thinking I'll do any map among 32, 14 (remake) or 26. Not entirely sure. We'll have to see.

Yeah the false exit is "Point of no return". Past that, the only thing forward is the secret exit.

I'm noticing some textures and doors got broken. A lot of the doors are supposed to be openable by monsters but it looks I messed it up somehow. I'll have to fix that as well as some texture problems.

Really makes you appreciate the "Reload last checkpoint" option that most modern games display on the death screen.
