Perhaps this is wrong, but from what I heard, this makes the ECU think that it is in park/neutral which causes it to play with the Air/Fuel ratio and make the car not provide the right power delivery. Do you know if there is any truth ti this? Once again, thank you very much because like the other person said I am a visual learner and this helps a lot. Stay safe!

What causes an ecu to stop working? Failed chips or solder joints? Depends on the car. Ecu for my truck is still pretty cheap. My ecu has a weird plastic like coating over the circuit board.

Bought a 1st gen rdx ecu from a ebay junkyard for 35 bucks. programmed it with a topdon scanner... works great... bought it as a spare.... if it goes bad i would definetly use your services.... eventually due to age the caps will go bad if not the drivers..... did the same with my other car..... in time getting a ecu will be harder for these older cars so its good to have a spare.....

i dont know if you were waring that mask when soldering but invest in a hepa soldering fume extractor and a hepa air purifier as a high quality extractor suckes enough that a mask isn't needed
