Hey Ken I have been shaving with a Mekur 34C but I need something with more grip what would you suggest be the next move up?

For the last two years I've been using an R89 with Feather blades and Taylor of Old Bond cream. My skin is semi-sensitive and this combo works great for me. Usually twice is enough with this combo compared to the past having to shave 3x's. The only thing I recommend is not trying to shave too many times with the same blade. It can still seem like the blade is sharp so it's easy to be tempted to go longer. I can shave a few times and then I'll change it out... otherwise my skin pays the price.

Good video. I’ve been using my Panasonic arc 4 for awhile now. I use shave cream with my electric razor (it’s a wet/dry razor) and it makes a big difference. Try it once if that Braun is a wet/dry razor, you may be surprised with how good it is. Happy anniversary!

They no longer make that Series 7. Braun unfortunately replaced it with a lower quality model also called Series 7. I have the same version as you at it’s the best electric razor I’ve ever owned.

Could anyone recommend a less expensive after shave similar to Versace Eros?

I have the exact same model and cannot be happier with it! I always prefer a DE shave, but when I'm in a hurry, this one is perfect! Also, for a daily shave.

In 1993 my wife, myself and her friends from The Salvation Army actually was able to go up to the 6th floor of the building and they have it restored to its original condition. On the same floor there’s displays all around about that day in 1963 as well as a replica of the rifle that was used in the assassination of JFK. Later with no traffic on the road I stood on the X that marks where JFK was killed…..very eerie let me tell you !!!!

Great shave, under the circumstances👍 About the ”discontinuation of splashes”, have you tried the after shave splash by Herme’s in France, ”Terre de Hermes” (think they also make a balm)? -Really nice manly Cedar/citrus based scent that almost leaves you smelling like an old fashioned pencil, but in a good way, if that makes sense🤣

I’ve seen some Philips norelco one blade at Marshall’s at metro point on sale for like 30$ if you want to try it out.

For me it’s the Phillips norelco one blade and then use my safety razor to get my safety razor from clogging up.

Hi Ken, I'm glad you can at least shave with your Braun7 razor. I reserve my electric razor for when I am pressed for time. I purchased a feeler gauge at an auto parts store. Now I can gauge all of my de safety razors. I don't have to try a razor if the blade gap is too large.

I have a Braun wet / dry, so I still lather up in my bowl most times when I use it. They are a great for an electric razor. *EDIT:* Happy anniversary❣ I would have had my 35th this year but we only made it to the 18th. Currently two weeks from now will be the second attempt at our 16th.

I tried them and really liked them.I could shave against the grain with my r89 without any problems.Ordered the 200 pack (20x10) for 7 dollars!.I can use a new blade every time and they will last me well over a year

Hey Ken! Nice video regarding that trimmer! Just an idea for you, how about a tribute shave marking the 80th anniversary of June 6th, 1944 D-Day? Most of our WWII vets have passed already and it would be nice to honor those that are still with us commemorating their effort and sacrifice and remember those that gave the ultimate sacrifice.
