It was good craic definitely. Black and peacock spider, a green Peter muddler and a sooty olive. All tied to suit the smaller lakes

Hi Scott, it really depends on your plan for accommodation. The area of the corrib you plan on staying in. A lot of houses on the shore come with boats. We personally don’t rent one as we have a 19ft fiberglass boat and also a good timber boat in the house we stay at. Tell me where you’re planning on staying and I’ll see if I know anyone☘️

Sorry for only getting back to you Patch. Mask is bigger as far as volume. It’s also a lot deeper. So fishing the deep water is usually standard on mask. But on Corrib you’ll rarely fish the deep as the shallows are so productive. The whole layout of the lake is different also, with the right wind the conditions on mask can get a lot rougher than they usually get on the Corrib(Corrib can also get rough, but Mask is a completely different beast) also Corrib really has a wide variety of depth and layout meaning realistically you can adapt your style of fishing the to the weather and other factors such as; hatch. I personally prefer the style of fishing on Corrib, but mask is beautiful in its own regard.

Thank you Laurence🎣☘️ We fish out of a village called oughterard around Lough Corrib. There’s plenty of accommodation to be had in the area surrounding Lough Corrib. For local knowledge nip in to tucks tackle and speak to Tommy. I do not sell flies however I may post a video of me tying the fly if enough people show interest.
