Perhaps some people, in the bubble they live in, think everyone that looks like them thinks the same. I've hired black people for the same reasons and not hired black people for the same reasons, just like all other races. Because a greater % of black people lean into the do not hire strata doesn't mean I'm against anyone because of the melanin in their skin. It is about values, experience and goals in life.

Many people think being racist only means white people against those of colour. Racism knows no colour boundaries - blacks can be, and some are, racist. As are some Latinos, Asians, etc. I agree with this lawsuit - it is specifically is fighting racism. Carrying on with generational hate across the board is simply advancing racism. People may or may not be threats regardless of their skin colour or ethnic background.

This is the first video I'm seeing from this creator. The intellectual dishonesty is aggregious. At no point did I hear why the teacher decided that the one position he wanted was the one specifically intended for non-white persons. Did he ever seek a position before? If not, why not? It's almost as if he didn't want any space for a non-white person. Also, how many other positions are held by non-whites on the board? As for the DEI educator, what is the opinion of the school? What do they have to say about this woman's tenure. Sometimes we have to be carefull that we don't fall down a rabbit hole simply because an opinion expressed is in agreement with our own. A little critical analysis can bring clarity.

Happened to me. I was always the relief manager i stepped in to take over the temp manager position. I was the highest performer. Unfortunately i was made to train the worst person for the job, who was a person of color. I was told off the record this was because of DEI. Thank you for judging people by the content of their character, and not by the color of their skin. I subscribed.

I am White. I don't think he was discriminated against. The position was designated to increase equity. Lots of positions are open to everyone.

In 1984, my brother (graduated hight school with honors) applied to a college in California. They told him then that he didn't help fill their "quota" of minorities, so he was denied.

Some people simply want revenge for past injustices, so they will ironically commit the very same discriminatory behavior toward others, that they object to when it’s directed at them. This is not restorative justice, it’s merely retribution. And it does not lead to a better world, it leads to cycles of vendetta. It’s a downward spiral that every person should seek to avoid.
