Best Robotic Pool Cleaner? Zima Pro vs Pentair
zhlédnutí 64Před dnem
I compare the Zima Pro to my Pentair pool cleaner. After looking at the performance and capabilities of the two, The Zima Pro is definitely the best robotic pool cleaner. It is easy to use, with no tangled cable since it is battery-powered. The ultrasonic radar works hard to ensure the entire pool gets scrubbed clean. Everything is automatic, and the vacuum power is awesome. Amazon link: amzn.t...
Trick for Cast Net Fishing Mullet?
zhlédnutí 634Před 14 dny
Will this trick for cast net fishing for mullet work? Catching mullet for bait is important for the way I fish for redfish. But, how to catch mullet gets complicated when they can see me along the shore and makes throwing the cast net harder. Here is one of the tips I propose for catching more mullet for bait by leveraging the stealth my Loogu camo pattern shirt provides. What do you think? Aff...

HANK HILLLLLLL
How it performs in choppy water. Are you loosing WiFi connection.
Yes, if the unit is out of the water for a long time, it cuts off. As long as it is damp, it connects.
Tire pressure people… LOWER your TIRE PRESSURE 🤦🏽😅
Damnit Bobby I was confused about well nuts, kayaks and kayak accessories but this helped. Thank you
Congrats on the 10ft shark. Shame it was longer than the kayak so you didn’t keep it.
Today, it is 12 feet when I tell the story
This is sad news to me because I just ordered one lol
Maybe they have improved since this video
Good work
How tf u land that thing on mono I’m assuming your using 15 lbs braid also going after reds
I was stunned it did not cut the mono leader. The circle hook was perfectly in the corner of its mouth - that probably kept the mono away from the teeth. I use a 40lb Ardent Gliss instead of a 20lb braid. The 40lb Gliss is the same diameter of 20lb (0.010 inches/0.25mm) and casts much smoother. The Ardent 24lb line is thinner than 15lb braid. My thought was, why not go with more lb test at the same diameter? Makes it easier to pull loose on oyster beds. However, Gliss does fray and you have to watch it if you fish where it will rub. Here is a link if you are curious. amzn.to/45rU1u7
The Endura C2 from Minn Kota doesn't have a brushless motor. There are brushes right in the exploded parts diagram (#9 in my manual). So I'm not too worried about this particular problem, just the generally cheap manufacturing of the controllers in general. LOL
One thing to bare on mind about braid specifically Power Pro The average breaking strength of Power Pro Braid in MY tests was at least 25% greater than advertised My 30lb Power Pro braid broke consistently at over 45lbs I believe Power has a chart of actual breaking strength of thier lines
Thanks for that insight!
You seem to have quite the collection of eBikes now. Maybe you and some buddies can do an eBike version of Rolling Thunder. Though eBikes are quiet, so it would need to be called something like Rolling Whispers 🤣
lol! I keep giving away the ones I get for free. I wanted this one since it folds and I can tuck it in a corner of the garage for when my brothers visit
Wax the paddle and shaft with bees wax. Better grip, less water. THE END.
Thanks!
What is the size/length of the truck bed?
I think the bed of my ranger is just over 5 feet
Do you have a plan for increasing the longevity of the bike in a salt water environment? Bicycle components degrade quickly with exposure to salt water and I would be worried for the electronic parts too. Ebikes are great, and you have to protect your investment!
Absolutely! Here is the video on what I do. The key is to rinse and totally dry the bike. czcams.com/video/HuP-s7VYuxs/video.html
😎👍 Looks to be a nice ebike. If it ever quits raining, I need to start riding mine again.
May need to rename your channel to e-bike
I have a mix of stuff. Thankfully, I can get out fishing again now. Check out the video I post today
Just built mine almost exactly like yours
Excellent!
Loved your setup and video. As we say in eastern Canada, "Tight Lines to you, sir!"
Awesome! Thank you!
This method worked great on my old land rover discovery 2 but bought a new toyota 4runner limited with a rear spoiler. How would you recommend doing that with a 10.5 ft kayak? I bought a roller but i think it will still scratch the paint possibly.
II am not familiar with that model. You may have to get one of those side load hoists.
LOVE your ideas. Keep up the good work
Thank you! Will do!
Like your videos. But on this I somewhat disagree. Think you jump a little fast to the conclusions on the SOT vs Sit-inside, and the inflatables here. As you point out, there is much in preference, and the shape/training. The SOT's are easier to get in and out of. I my self, as a younger person, did struggle. But after exercise at the gym, the getting inside a sit-inside was really smooth. The sit-inside feels more tippy, but in reality they are very stable. You control the kayak much better in a sit-inside than in most SOTs. Most SOT's are very stable in the primary stability, but when they tip, they tip. Hence the sit-insides you can tip and control to a much more extent. If you take lessons, you even can straighten them up when they tip. If you practise you even can roll with them. Hence I think you can need much more strength to get back on a SOT if you fall out. Most sit-insides you can get a spray skirt, and then you are totally more dry than you ever can get in any SOT. Sit-insides kayaks tend to bee much faster than SOT's too. If you go for a sea-kayak version of the sit-inside, you get much more storage space with large and dry compartments in front and back. If you load as much equipment on a SOT, it will get more tippy, since all must be stored on deck. And the sit-inside is much more manoeuvrable than most SOTs I use an Old Town Bigwater/Predator SOT, and a Boreal Baffin P3, so experience with both. I follow several users of inflatable kayaks. And if you do not tend to go out on large bodies of open water (the sea), or focus very much on fishing, there is no problems with them. So I think your assumption on inflatable kayaks was more correct for some years ago. There has been a fast and good development on this. I think it is great you make a series of this. Most advices for kayaks is based on younger and often more fit shaped people. And I think it is a real problem. So keep on the good work!
Excellent points! Thank you for the detailed guidance. I guess it all comes down to which model the user is most comfortable with.
Simply amazing! Very well done. Thanks for the summary- beats going through all of your videos to find the ones you want. Thanks.
lol! I have two other consolidated tips videos that look at, I think, 34 additional things.
Would the rivits work with this type of track too? Only asking because i have a bag of the rivits allready.
I would have preferred using rivets, but my rivet tool could not get flush with the bottom of the track. The width of the opening was too narrow.
@@KayakhacksFishing thanks
What about the double Pittson i believe it is stronger
I am not familiar with that knot. Thanks for the reference to it so I can check it out!
Thank you, this video was extremely informative! It’ll help greatly when I go up to Rapidan in a week or two
Best of luck! My book on the Rapidan covers the entire stretch. If you get it from Amazon, get the kindle version since the pictures are in color if you view it using the kindle reader on a tablet.
Now that it's in there, how do you get it out?
You can pull on the blanket to get it to the edge and then grab the rope and the front
Thank you. 🙏
Do you think the deeper sonar performs well enough for deeper water on lakes and deeper coastal waters?
I do not have experience with it in those environments. Maybe the Amazon reviews would provide insight.
Can you add a PWM to a Motor Guide R3
Sorry, I am not familiar with that product
Read the manual???? We're guys!!! Besides, that's what CZcams is for 😁
😎👍
Great review. Could you tell me what are the dimensions of the folded bike as you are ready to put it into the trunk of your Prius? Also, genius move with that double loop cord for wrangling the bike into your car. Thanks so much, and looking forward to the test ride !
So sorry for the late reply. It is approx 40x33x18 folded based on my measurements. I am surprised this is not listed on their website.
Just a thought, don’t have the sun behind you?
Great point! Thanks!
What size pvc pipe did you use thank you.
I use whatever I need to fit the accessory I want to mount. Typically, I use either 3/4 or 1 inch for most things.
What do you do when the wind stops???????
Sweat!
Make a loop of 550 cord, drill a hole through the golf ball, either use a washer or tie a couple of knots in the ball. Then you have a loop of 550 cord to pull the ball out when needed.😊
Excellent idea! Thanks
I couldn't understand how they would hold. Your demonstration was perfect!
I'm gonna say that in my opinion, the camo can't hurt. I know mullet can be quite skittish to movement. Last year, I waited on the bow of my boat for 15+ minutes for a school of mullet to move down the shoreline. Just before they got within range of my cast net, my brother in law flipped his cigarette ashes off the side of the boat, and they saw him and went the other way. I know they are always on the lookout for predators.
Exactly!
Well, if anything I would think blue would be better since they are looking up at you, but I don't think see colors like that anyway so I don't know if it will matter, but it would be an interesting test. Good luck!
Fair enough!
I love this hack and that you provide two different approaches. Let me add a third: heat the bolt and use it as a threading tap. Drill the hole a little smaller than the bolt, heat the end of the bolt with a heat gun or lighter (not super hot but hot enough to soften pvc) and thread the cap onto the hot bolt. May have to heat it a second time to complete the threading. Primary thing to watch for is to make sure you keep it aligned because the bolt can get cockeyed if you're careless. If you have a tap you can do that instead, but this has worked quite well. There's enough meat there for sufficient threads to hold fast. I sized one for holding one of the manufacturer's adjustable angle rod holders (just sits down in there snugly) I carry a rod in there with some heavy rigs at a pretty flat angle and it rides like a champ.
Great idea! I discussed using at tap in another video, but your idea allows folks without a tap to achieve the same thing!
Disappointed in your lack of knowledge about inflatables.
yes, they make me nervous
I commercial fish color does matter if you wear white mullet will be very shy and spook also staying low and throwing from the back side of the mullet towards the head is key
Good Point!
It’s worth a try… but no i don’t think it will matter. You might want something that changes your shape. I just throw farther
lol! I'm an old guy! Guess I need to work out more!
My first thought is that won't make a difference. My experience is that animals key into movement much more than pattern or color. If the bait doesn't see your chartreuse net coming their way, I doubt that they will be concerned about clothing color. Just my two cents. If you feel better about throwing the net while wearing camo...maybe you will be a more confident thrower. Rock on with your affiliate linke.
Good Point!
I feel like it could work. Have you ever done a video tutorial on how you throw a cast net?
Yes - there are many ways to do it. Here is mine - czcams.com/video/JQoVs_Qc7LQ/video.html
Where is the 23 minute explanation of how to do this followed by an ad
lol! I hear you. It kills me that in the early days of CZcams, all the consultants demanded we put a 30 second intro in every video. Aggh. Thankfully, I wised up a few years ago and stopped doing that. I have a low tolerance for videos longer than 5 minutes!
Question, you mentioned the yellow bike was 80+ lbs, is that rack not rated higher than 80+ lbs total payload capacity? Granted the two together might be too much…but single bike might if the total payload was greater than the single bike
Right. I do not put the yellow Magicycle Deer on the rack since the rack is rated at 70 pounds per bike. I load it on the back of the pickup and strap it there. That said, my friend does not have that concern and puts it on his rack, assuming there is a safety built in.
I have had two Cadence rods break on me when setting the hook on fish. Cadence replaced the first one. They offered a 30% discount for a new rod for the second broken rod. I will not be ordering more but hate it because I liked the rods and reels.
I hear you!
Brilliant!
I really appreciate that! I'll work even harder!
