I don’t like making a victim of myself but I have one thing that I recently realised was trauma… I had unfortunately had very horrible classmates and I since I was a little kid I felt like no one cared about me, that no one saw me, that no one cared about my interests and that I was the odd one out. Though I have been able to suppress it as I got older, even though now I’m 18, I still can’t help but feel anxious whenever I go on a school trip (thinking no one will acknowledge me and walk over me), whenever I go to school (to my new HS class) and crowded places such as birthdays or just parties in general. I was invited to a party just half an hour ago and well I started crying cuz it’s way too late for my liking and I’m terrified of the thought that no one will talk to me and that I will be left alone and forced to leave… so I’m listening to this to temporarily fix the problem💜ty

recently working through my trauma with emdr therapy has helped but has brought up so much like it gets worse before it’s better and healed, I’ve worked for around 6 months and I see myself with such a healthy aspect on it even seeing my abuser in public, I was able to handle it safely, this video is just what I need to hear really any day but especially at night when it’s time to be calm. Thank you for this ❤

my mother just spent the last hour and a half telling me why my trauma (from her no less) isn’t that bad compared to what she endured, and of course i’m not discounting anything that happened to her, but she spent so much time telling me how i victimize myself to make things seem worse to make her feel bad, etc, etc. I’m not going to get into everything she’s done. logically i know so much of it wasn’t okay but i feel incredibly invalid right now. this video is much needed, thank you so much.
