@@scriptingcomposer Thanks for the encouragement. Right now, it's more a question of learning a lot of other stuff around harmony and orchestration, expanding my modular skills and applying more advanced harmonic ideas to that, as well as completing outstanding projects. Plus paying for a new PC, some analog recording gear, new mics. So getting a Mac and buying this software is a bit down the line. It's more a question of money and time basically. But, once all that is sorted out, this is something I will get into. Even if it's a year or two from now. Love the other stuff you do, by the way.

Dear Stéphane, what is the point of recording the midi parts in midifile then inserting them into the "session" tracks of Ableton Live? Why not send them directly to Live's midi tracks via the IAC ports? Especially since nothing prevents them from being recorded directly in midi tracks...
Dear Didier, you are absolutely true but this demo showed how to prepare some Ableton material (clips) for people who want to use Ableton clip workflow to compose and using Opusmodus only as clip generator.

Very cool Stephane. It sounds like something David Lynch might do for sound design, he does SD on all of his movies. I worked through both of your courses with Opusmodus but it doesn’t seem to stick with me. I have managed to sink Dorico pro with Studio One which gives me the best of DAW and Notation worlds together. I really would like to understand and use OPUSMODUS and integrate elements of that program that nothing else can do! Will have to sign up for one on one lessons with you some day!

Thanks Bogdan. The harmony comes from a pitch row but organised as chords with configuration close to the harmonics serie.
@@scriptingcomposer Opusmodus offers a plethora of new harmonic and counterpoint relations - the counterpoint created by "vertical intersection " between winds and strings sounds intersting - those melodic notes, around those harmonic structures, are great ! Spendid work !
@@Bogdan0173 Thank you very much Bogdan. The melodics notes on woods comes from the higher parts of the overtone series and the "harmonic" background from the lower parts of this same overtone series .

Daddytang67 Opusmodus have fantastic music notation capabilities, Live coding possibility , beautiful interface, fantastic documentation, very active user forum and the langage itself is very elegant, based on notes name and permit to write music eventually not algorithmic, just like with a paper and pen ... have a look at: www.opusmodus.com
Good little piece Stephane. Interesting that you are using Notion as a score writer. I discovered this just recently (and not because of the Eka-Pekka Salonen advert!). It seems to do most of everything Sibelius does only at a fraction of the cost. Nigel
