High voltage indeed. Thank you.
Hey :) I wanted to tell you that I really, really like what you do. The music and visuals are exactly to my taste, thank you very much for sharing. All the sounds come from the yamaha rs7000? If you're okay with sharing a bit about the sound, and your creative process, that would be amazing. Thanks for everything
Aw man, thank you so much, this means a lot. Seriously, thank you. Yes, these are all sounds from the RS7000, basically internal waveforms but I rarely use the preset patches. Since the RS7000 has a pretty much full blown synth engine, you can do whatever you want so I tend to open a raw waveform sample and just go from there as if it was an analog synth. The drums are slightly tweaked one shots but there's nothing superfancy going on here. You know, I just try to have fun with all these machines I've been dreaming of in the early 2000s. These were superexpensive back then and now I finally got the chance to actually work with them so yeah..having fun is the main thing on the to do list:)
Liked, appreciated and shared ☑ 🙂 👍
Appreciated back, my friend! Thank you so much once again for listening.
@@alfabutane 🙂
I was just googling if there was a new Boards of Canada album...
And sadly, there's none:( But let's keep the hope up.
Cowbell is sick
Haha, cowbells are always sick. Thank you so much for listening man!
Great tune. These 505’s are getting hard to find these days.
Thank you so much. Are they? I bought this 1,5 years ago for around 350. Best deal ever. Love this thing.
🔥🔥🔥
Thank you!
🔥🔥🔥 very nice 😎👍
Many thanks man, appreciate you.
What if my name is olaf?
If it is, i like your name, Olaf. If it's not then I hope it's something similar.
Possibly the finest hardware sequencer ever made. I had one back when they were new, it replaced my Ensoniq ESQ1. I had another in the 2000's. I'm now on my third. Dissasemble, place the white buttons in a solution of at least 12 percent hydrogen peroxide for a few days in sunlight. Super white bright keys.
Nice!!! And totally agree on that hwardware seq thing! Definitely one of if not THE best out there.
You make me want to purchase one asap…
Hahaaaa thank you means a lot, go for it man, its a great machine!
Fab video. Thanks
Thank you so much!
I want to see a jam with the RS7000, RM1X, and QY700 all playing harmoniously and joyfully together
Are you telling me I need to finally get that QY700?:))) Would love to try that one!
Hi, I was wondering about a thing on the RS7000... beware of the in-depth question! I was interested in a groovebox, but I dislike most grooveboxes that came out in the last 10 years. The RS7000 looks very good, but there is a function that I don't know how the RS7000 handles it, even after having read the user manual: When playing a pattern on section A and switching for example the kick off with the mute, then using the black key to select section B (witch has the kick on by default)... will the kick still be off, will it be on, does it depend on if it is the same phrase or not, can this function to keep a voice muted from a section to the other be choosen live (like the green/purple mutes of the Elektron Synthakt), or can this behaviour be selected in the options (such as the Electribe ESX1) ?
Thanks, that's a good question. It's just like on the RM1X. It doesn't matter if the phrase is different or the same. If you mute a channel on Section A and then go to Section B, the channel will be muted on that section too until you unmute it. But since the Section switching can be quantised, it's possible to trigger the section change and while the section change is waiting for the playhead to reach the next quantising point (anything from 1/16 to whatever length) you can unmute the channel manually right on time. It takes very little practice and works nicely once you get used to it.
@@alfabutane Thanks!
What a beautiful track thank you
As alway, thank you so much, my friend!
i know shiz about techno but this is hard bro 🔥
Broooo, many thanks!
👍👍👍
Many thanks man!
Great
Awesome, thank you!
Awesome jam and thank you for sharing. I think everyone is starting to gas for a RS7000 now..LOL. If you dont mind me asking. What part of the big wide world are you from? just curious. Cheers
Thank you so much! Yeah they should! It's both the RS7K and the RM1X that deserve much more attention than they are currently getting. I'm from Bratislava, Slovakia.
It's fast, very fast, too fast... It goes too faaaaaaast !!! 🤣😆 Hummm... One more time ! 🙂 👍
Hahahaha, thanks my broski!
@@alfabutane 🙂
Seinfeld bro.
Hahaha yeah!
I’m assuming the drums are the drum synths ?
Yes sir.
Ça sonne bien bien propre et ça tape. Peut-être un peu de clone TR-909 pour rendre ça un peu rugueux ?
That would definitely help and it's totally doable:))
Great use of filter sweeps to keep a simple loop lively
Many thanks, yeah I always build these exercises out of 1-2 patterns max. It keeps the brain in the thinking mode.
I like this side of Iso
aww man thank you so much!
@_@
!!!
???
Ça y est tu es accroc, t'es en train de retourner la RS7000.
Thank you so much! What you hear here is just the external gear. I've used the RS7000 as a sequencer only on this.
@@alfabutane Les Yamaha QY, RS, SU, RM1X sont de bons séquenceurs pour piloter midi d'autres synthétiseurs...
!!!
🙏🙏🙏
Gorgeous sentimental breakbeats.
Many thanks broski, glad you liked this. The chops aren't perfect but I didn't want to spend too much time in the sampler section when the melody was already there.
🎉
Thank you!
smooth & groovy
Thank you so much. Glad you liked it.
Great video! The RM1X is better for sequencing, the MC-505 has many more sound design options and hands on features. Both great but I much prefer the 505.
I can absolutely understand this. As a sound design tool, the MC-505 excels and is in many ways better then the RM1X. But as you'v said, the RM1X is one hell of a sequencer. Especially for external gear. I can't imagine growing up without it.
Absolutely sick
Thank you so much!
Every track better than the last! 👍🏼
So glad to hear this. Thank you so much!
La Yamaha suena genial, muchas gracias por tus vídeos son también geniales
Thank you so much for the kind words! Yes, the RS7K is something else, it's a wonderful piece of gear.
"Aphex Twin is that you ????|" "No it got so nice detuned...it must be Isobutane." 🙃👍
Hahaha maaaan, you da best! Thank you!
This great!
Much appreciated! Thank you!
Luv it!
Thank you so much!
Dreamy oldskool goodness! 🤩
Many thanks my bro!!
Hummm... smooth & groovy ❤👍
Thank you so much, my friend.

The Roland sounds better but more boring than the Yamaha.
That's an interesting way to put it. Thanks so much for listening!
amazing right from the start.
Thank you so much, I'm really glad you like it!
Aphex twin vibe
Means a lot, thank you!
Almost 30 years, and RM1x is still by far the best standalone midi sequencer for programming patterns, songs and live jamming songs.
Can't agree more!🙌🙌🙌
Better then elektron?
@@JohannesLind my honest opinion: yes, much better on so many levels.
@@alfabutane ok, Im curious about in which way? Just more options? Looks slightly more menu divey But also looks very diverse
@@JohannesLind Much more polyphony, the sequencer is divided into logical sections that can be manipulated in real-time but without any step or bar limits, every channel is polyphonic. You have 16 channels divided into 16 sections, and all the data are stored within one pattern. You can have up to 50 of these. Also, you have this superb step resolution, very detailed MIDI editor and MIDI filter, live MIDI FX, super tight live rec feature, assignable knobs, mute memories and many other things. As a sequencer, this this is superior to most of the hardware stuff out there.
Woahhh what is it?
It's Yamaha RM1x. Thanks for listening!

🙌🙌🙌🙌
Amazing content. All this midi sequencing should also be possible with the original version too, shouldn't it?
Thank you so much. Yes, the older version has only 8 channels but this can be done easily on the standard version too.
@@alfabutane Im sticking to the OG for now, but "+" version looks already amazing ;) Are you using a midi splitter box or just midi thru?
@@aki_gong6271 I still love the OG and it really has a special place in my heart so I totally understand your decision. For this video I've used a MIDI thru box that my friend built for me some time ago. It's a simple MIDI thru box with 1 in and 5 outs but it's all doable even without it using just the Thru connectors on all those devices.
@@alfabutane thanks for clarifying. I usually make use of a kenton midi box for those matters, it works wonders ;)
