Alt left click 100 percent works in 4.2 I promise, maybe something in your preferences is different. Are you holding down alt first and then left clicking with alt held, also aiming in-between two vertices can sometimes help. Thank you so much for watching btw and welcome back to blender! :)

@@BlenderInferno I'll figure it out. Don't know why alt-click isn't doing loop select. Does double click work for you? I assumed that with all of the other changes that have occurred (a lot of adjustments, and still adjusting), this must have been one of them.

Doesn't work for me either, I'm on a Mac, maybe that's it.?

Yeah I get how you feel they also just changed it again in blender 4.2, I ended up making another video on it :)

@@Lizardforce yeah! It allows you to turn materials made up of bodes into textures, these textires can then either be used in stead of all the nodes for faster performance/render times or it can be taken into another 3d software like a game engine for example! Thanks for watching as always man

Press 3 on the keyboard to go into face select mode, I understand my accent can be a little strong sometimes for some people so I've made sure to make subtitles for all my videos if it would help, thank you for watching :)

When creating a new image you can set the alpha to 0 so it's transparent, I'll make a video on it :)

@@Golemofstone Mainly if you wanted to separate out an island out without marking seams, for example if you wanted to create a visible seam in an area but don't want to unwrap again
