[Declassified] NQS Junker Queen vs Orisa (Part 2)
This is the continuation of my study on the Junker Queen vs Orisa matchup on New Queen Street, from working with my team (Zodiac) seven months ago. This was more behind-the-scenes pure analytics from when I was studying how T2 teams played the matchup, and then comparing that against some T3 VODs with from my team's scrims (featured in this video).
For the small handful of sickos out there who enjoy pure technical analysis work like I used to back when I was learning about coaching and the game for the first time, I see you lol. I appreciate it when people still like to poke around in my work and take home some interesting thoughts, regardless of whether they finish the whole thing (since this isn't exactly designed to be "content" really).

Some friends and I entered the Console Gaming League (CGL)'s PC division GOATs tournament. Would you coach new players at a macro level ? I main sojourn and currently silver 1. Strong mechanically coming from another fps, just don't fully understand the game is my issue. Ofcourse just playing would fix this but coaching would speed that process up.
The most important aspect of improvement as a new player is honestly just familiarity with the game-- exploring maps thoroughly, knowing health pack locations, having a deep understanding of the kits of heroes, and so on. It's just that basic learning curve that comes with being new in any game. Once people have that under their belts, then macro coaching can be helpful, since it's essentially the study of how you as a player should try to align with what your teammates are doing (even if they're randoms sitting around picking their noses). If you were wondering about coaching from me specifically, I rarely do freelance coaching because I prefer to focus on coaching a single team. However, plenty of people are willing to do free reviewing (e.g. on r/Overwatch University Discord server), and there are great paid options too (e.g. Coach Spilo, who was my mentor when it came to learning coaching). Apologies I can't help you myself but hopefully that's a couple ideas of positive directions to check out.
@@Anima_Kesil Appreciate it. You showing the routes you take as a very experienced player really helps a tonne. Not sure if you have any other videos with the routes you take as sojourn or similar dps on other maps ? Dorado especially was nice, I had trouble knowing the key sightlines and where to position myself for max value.
@@cpdcullen I don’t have other content on common pathing routes, but since it seems like something some people have been interested in, it may be something I’ll do more of in the future.

@@cpdcullen yo i would recommend OWL coach spilos second channel spilo2 has a ton of coaching vods on all heroes on all maps would be good for you i think to see how and where most people play to get value from your chosen heroes kit

Ok, I came here because I was not sure what my team wanted from me when they said I don't create space. I can't tank for eternity, especially with tanks as Zarya but I did draw them them attention several times in a row only for our flankers to stay passive. I kept doing it and blocking objective for like 2 mins waiting for any activity from our dps dealers, I brought their healers low several times, trying to go for these squishes but never noticed anyone from the team doing actual dmg. All I heard was crying that I don't create space so I came here to make sure it's not something I'm missing and as I thought, again it was useless passive dps not going for easi kill and spreading dmg as much as they can and then crying I can't just magically push whole enemy team to their base all on my own. Thx for confirming it.

Thank you for posting this, this is how a lot of artist normally progress. The videos of people jumping from drawing a stick figure to a photo-realistic person in one year are great and should be praised, but it’s nice to see some realistic and more normal progress. This is the rate I progressed at too, I hope you keep going!
It felt a little bittersweet putting together the video since I really hadn’t made as much progress as I had hoped, but there’s some small ways I improved and those bits definitely made me happy to notice. Even if they’re not much and not necessarily super noticeable to everyone lol. Thanks for the kind words, and I plan to give it a go this year as well and maybe push myself a little more to get better at some more fundamental drawing stuff

Good video highlighting the concepts of space. Would be interesting to see an advanced version of this, factoring in abilities/ultimates along with utilising verticality (Pharah, lifeweaver, even widowmaker) in order to control certain zones and angles.
