Thats some very nice work on a simple model Monogram kit.. the paint work is well done. The weathering effect gives it a realistic look. Great work. Love it. I have three of the same kit. I hope i can achieve that same finish.👍🇭🇲🦘🐨✌️
I checked my logbook. It turns out it was 1964 in VS-21. I have a number of hours in the plane including carrier landings.
The markings look like VS-37 in the 1950’s. I was in the squadrons!

Flew in them 63-66 West Pac orange suits to green in Nam.
The dihedral looks way too low on this.

July 26, 2023----Got one of these kits in my unbuilt stash. One of the things I want to learn is cad. Imagine 3d printing an accurate interior for this kit. Good looking build.

Damn, does this kit still exists ? I built it when I was twelve... over 40 years ago and even back then, as I remember there was more flash than actual kit material... Do you know the reason for those very few wires ? .... They weren't even needed on this plane, but pilots wanted to see rigging because they didn't trust a plane without rigging. δεν θα ελεγα οτι ηταν ασχημη. καλη σχετικα. το μονο προβλημα ειχα στην χαλκομανια με το χταποδι , ηταν αρκετα μεγαλο κ δεν μπηκε εκει που ηθελα. ισως ηθελε κ λιγο υγρο για χαλκομανιες

Aaannnddd there it is !!!!! There's always one that just can't help themselves picking on others projects because it didn't suit them ! Fantastic build this is and perhaps a wee bit of encouragement and nice comments etc etc in this World today YOU are what's wrong with our fantastic modelling community..destroying people's projects, and efforts etc ! No decent, nice, helpful and encouraging comments.... and people ask why is our hobby declining in numbers !! The kids aren't coming through as they were to keep this cracking hobby going in the future ! Granted PS, Xbox phones have a lot to do with it but... But it takes Alot of courage to post their projects on places like this and when folks like you don't have a good word to say about their projects after they have not only taken the time out of their busy day to do their project but they then show us the respect to upload it so we have the honour of seeing it, but loannis build here is brill, a very talented chap and it shows, great Work, but would you blame him, and other folks if their confidence and enthusiasm had dented, would you blame them if they didn't want to do this anymore ?? Ive heard lots of bad things about this kit like those of the fitting and the canopies being a pain to the a*s, the way you did made it look otherwise!

Nicely done ..... I've built several of these since the late 70s ( born in 67 ) ...... and have x2 in the stash, going to go get another one at Hobby Lobby this week ( 40% off ) ....... a good kit with room for kitbashing and modifying...... wanting to do one in green for my green Tim Mee army men and a tan one for the tan army ...... thanks for the look at your build 😁👍❤🇺🇸
