isnt that just collapsing the backside?
Never give up your dreams God leads the way. Hard work triumphs over Talent! Remember that kids. Brazil has the most FIFA tittles.
Great stuff
Broken record, turn and tilt, tilting first is nothing more than collapsing, you only tilt to height of ball, you can't tilt first or you'll get exposed up top, thats when you see guys adjusting and pushing up,,,you keep showing the tilt first.
Working hard at getting better. Nice

Great stuff guys. Castro Bros 💣💣💣
we need a weekly pie challenge from the Castro Bros ! !
This is interesting. You say first move is back leg, second move is hand pivot. Similar to what TeacherMan says except he says first move is hand pivot, which turns the back leg. My first thought is that TeacherMan’s method gives more time to adjust. I’d be interested to hear your thoughts on the two approaches.
Some language I’m starting to like when their weight slides forward is that they need to “stay back by posting up against the front leg” Cuz they can put some weight on the front leg but they still gotta stay back, which is confusing, but this breaks through to some kids I’m finding. Love your guys stuff just something you might like
Love this swing generates greater speed and power
@@zackrutkowski8501 💪💪
I like so much of what you do but I still say don't tilt then turn, tilt on the turn to height of pitch. you can't tilt first and lean back or you get exposed to velo in the top of the zone. also, your rotation speed will suffer if hips are not level at start of rotation, velo is not a problem for 10 to 12 year olds but good mechanics developed early helps you surpass all those rear leg tilters when the ball starts getting 85mph plus and no longer drops into that upward path. the front side helps get on plane and is like a site to the ball. but love the good connection and not releasing swing till you are in direction to the ball
poor 7 yr old getting his swing ruined
Great swing
Do you think the barry bond / christian yelich drill is really letting the ball get very deep to the point where you almost missed the ball? I never saw the drill done correctly. The chop down on the ball doesn't seem helpful. Letting the ball get deep and hitting the front of the plate would be very good if you can do it.
where are you guys located

What is that wrapped around his neck and arm?
this guy has a lot of good stuff like everyone, but this is a bit of a misunderstanding. you don't want to stay on back leg, thats not the fix to pushing up, the fix is being 50/50 and the back hip rotates down as the knee does, you can't rotate well if you still have weight on back side. The hands, back shoulder, back hip and back knee turn together connected and in same direction down, the logic sounds good to stay on back leg but it is inefficient and kills power and most will try to get out of it by pulling front shoulder up and out. making it more difficult to keep chest down
Good stuff
This is a great drill thank you guys!!!

What is that device you had around his neck?
@@thatswhoibe1364 it’s in the description

Turn the back of the barrel to the ball. It takes the arms out of it
you mean where his hand are works for him and changing messed him up before, but there is nothing wrong with turning high which works very well for many players
@@dfboiler he was not getting in a good strong position with his hands and his body before.
@@CastroBros his hands were jumping the sequence, not turning to the ball and releasing but moving forward. I can't read his mind from video but I'm betting by getting his hands back around the shoulder he could feel himself locking into connection and getting that clean connected turn you like.
Fellas really.. let me explain..you want to start up to down like Gary is stating because that way you will keep from popping it up.. and striking out 200 plus times a year like MLB players are doing now. Do you know that during Big Papi's and Gary time if you strike out more than 100 times you have a major MLB problem. MLB players are striking out over 200 times with the new way of swinging, which is ridiculous with your new age mechanics. So yeah If you start up to down you can adjust and come flat like you guys want the kids to do. Do you get it???? Its better to think up to down, and if you have to you flatten out.. its easier to make the change from top down then having to go the other way around.. You say hitters are better these days.. I'll take Ken Griffy Junior, Barry Bonds, and Mark McGuire.. and they will eat up every single hitter present day..
3:07 looks like your top hand door knuckles are aligned with your bottom hand knuckles is this correct??
@@mtbmike6414 seems like you’re correct, but knuckles it’s something that you should not be worried too much as long as you feel that you still have good mobility.
@@CastroBros thank you it’s just that when I align my top and bottom hand door knuckles my elbow sits lower and I finish with palm up palm down finish better but I see everyone with a high back elbow and it changes the swing what you think ?

This is such a good video. These are the tiny details that are hard for the average person to notice, but makes a huge difference.
@@johnbuenger thank you so much. We’re glad we can help
It’s amusing how differently the golf swing and baseball swing have been viewed over time. The golf swing’s every movement has been broken down, micro-analyzed, and taught that way for decades. If you were trying to hit a baseball, you were told “take your hands to the ball” and that was it, because baseball has always been this romantic game kids were supposed to go out and play together and figure out for themselves. Thankfully slow motion video exists, so we can see how the “dinosaurs” actually swung a bat.
Excellent video man. Thank you.
@@Self_Empowered444 thank you so much
I think you guys make a few good points about the ideal path of the barrel. However, 10% could account for better approach. Seems like a small data point. As to A-Rod and Gwynn, their concept of “staying on top of the ball” is not about swinging down. It is intended to describe the optimal position of hips and lead shoulder just before the bat is ready to be swung, pushed into the zone. In other words, the hips and shoulder should be square enough to prevent them from pulling off too soon BEFORE the hips make way for the hands. Staying on top of the ball will likely result in the bat barrel squaring up. A pulling off will likely increase barrel angle and decrease sweet spot. The “push” is a reference to the action of the top hand pivoting the knob of the bat which causes the barrel to pass through the zone.
The first guy will never hit as hard or as far as Vlad Jr. Jr is 6'2 and 245 he could miss the barrel and still put one out.
Love the content my brothers. I watch all the vids. Keep up the good work.
