Beginner's D5 Render Tutorial
In this video I sync a Rhino model with D5 Render, create a dynamic link, then go through the D5 Render interface to produce a still rendering. I go over changing materials, loading model assets, such as people and plants, then show how the environment can be affected with manual settings, or by using an HDRI image to create the lighting environment. Camera settings are also modified to create the scene desired.

This Grasshopper definition can be the basis for other complex operations, like creating fins, louvers, and patterns on the surface. Thanks for the video! The point you bring up about not needing to be super accurate with the dimensions when modelling the existing structure other than the massing/exterior walls is something that took me a while to figure out. I was under the impression that there was a need to be precise with every dimension of the site, but after speaking with architect friends, I learned that's not necessarily the case.

I teach that course (Construction Documents) at Orange Coast College. Students design an ADU, then create a drawing set throughout the semester. Most of the content I put on CZcams supports that class. Might be tough to fit it into a video. Maybe a video summarizing each of the drawings typically needed?
