Had my SV1000N for over a decade and just haven't found anything I've liked or wanted more. A keeper.

I was very disappointed this year, first the ferry trouble with no interest of the Steam Paket Company. The very, very short races, so we ride läßt time south round incl. Calf. Costrs us a lot money for nearly nothing. Ah the terrible weather, noone could do something against that, of course. Sorry to say, after a lot of wonderful Manxes, never again.

Haha memories. Used use that exact same setup but on an iveco wagon. Then went onto heavy recovery, dragging artics around on an old twin steer 8 leg Scammell . Hydraulic under lift and two of the most powerful winches ever. Days were so simple then. Nice video, many memories. Hope you’re well brother.

Good review, im thinking of getting one of these, currently have a fazer600, although a great bike my knees are not what they used to be and are objecting to the angle to the footpegs. Whats the riding position like on the tdm? I know the answer is to try one, but would like an idea, thanks

I have had my TDM 900 for some years now .. I jumped on it for a whizz around the leafy lanes of North Cheshire last Sunday .. it was very easy to ride and one of the most comfortable motorcycles I have ever rode I have no issues with the 3000 rpm engine levels and it runs very smooth on E10 or E5 petrol or a mixture of .. thanx

Great video, Mr Dyson. Some really nice scooters there. Although I also ride motorcycles, scooters have won me over. Cooler than people give them credit, faster than they look, confortable and practical. My 6 year old car has 12000 km on the clock (8000 miles) , that's how much I use it after I started riding scooters. Out to dinner, cinema, theater, visiting friends and relatives, it doesn't stop! Nice weather all year round helps. And you can wear whatever you want, it always looks cool. Lola even wears dresses!

Rode one once, IIRC an Li150 (?). Terrifying - knees desperately trying to find something other than each other to cling on to, it soon became a rock & roll lurch-fest of kangaroo like intensity. Gear changes hampered by sloppy cables & rider ineptitude, I played God save the Queen on it's poor gearbox left handed, with it's clutch lever flapping up & down like a manic seal trying semaphore. Thankfully handing it back to it's rather relieved owner, I quietly muttered a most solemn vow : )

I've rode both, i found the 900's more refined, the 850's a lot more raw, nothing wrong with the 900, but i just love my old mk1 850.

Diversity eh? - The average Klingon 'dropping by', may well feel that all Earthlings do look the same to them. Then they see the jam-ups of almost identical motorised metal boxes we use for daily transport & wonder. Then they notice the bikes, & smile knowingly, realising that individuals ARE alive & well . . . even down here! : ) Smiling Klingons - a thought for bedtime.

Nice to see such an eclectic mix of styles - the XS650 on knobblies certainly looks fun. Can't really understand why pubs change names - unless the original has become offensive in some way, why bother? Renaming to honour famous events or people has always been the norm - 'Wat's drinking hole' becomes 'The Trafalgar' etc. - but to randomly change after centuries of common usage, only goes to screwing up the directions to anywhere when trying to help a stranger. "In two miles turn left at 'The Plough', & once you pass 'The Red Lion, take the next right, left again at 'The Goat', but as no one knows where on Earth that is, just ask for The Malt Shovel." Pub-nav works . . . no batteries required . . . please leave it unmolested - or go get lost! : )

One of those bikes looked like a Raleigh runabout which was my first ever bike, christ that's going back, I still have a picture of me looking happy with it back in 1973.

The tdm was my first "big boy bike" after passing my test. Ive had others alongside it as weekend bikes and toys but the tdm is still my go to every day as a workhorse. I just cant seem to kill the thing.
