Awesome bag tour and setup! I'm actually gonna use some of those tips. Quick question, why do you use only 1 1/8" to dual XRL cable for the deity instead of 2 separate XLR? Is it just to reduce the number of cables in the bag?
This is a really old setup, but I believe I had already built a couple perfectly length Y-cables for the previous transmitters I was using (2 sets of rode wireless go ii). It was much cleaner cable management and I never could verify if I was getting a true “balanced” out by using 2 separate xlr to mini jack cables. Lately though I’ve been using Lectrosonics and sennheiser G3’s while using the deity’s in Master TX, Cam hop, IEM, and TC box modes. One TRX goes in my bag One is on my boom op as her monitor A third one is on my slate to provide a visual timecode reference And the last one or two are injecting audio and timecode into A&B cam.
Great videos! Consise nd strait to the point. Its also what I'm trying to do. Thanks for the tips on the F6, I'm thinking of getting one as a backup recorder. That or the new F8n Pro... we'll see.
I love this button. But I actually don't use it for bad takes but for my best takes. Because there's often more mistakes than there are good takes. So I just actually save the 'best' take in the False Take and have my 1 million flubs and mistakes in the normal folder.
I was actually considering this setup, the f6 with two sets of deity connects bp-trx. But In the end I ended up using the G4's for my f6. How bad is the 19ms delay? because that was one of the downsides that made me not choose the deity route. Also I live in NYC so I'm not so sure how well 2.4 ghz works in a big city. How often do you have to rely on the internal recording to save dropouts? Lastly I'm always and constantly using the app for my f6, does using the app interfere with the deity's in any way since theyre both 2.4ghz ish great looking setup by the way!!!
Great questions! I'd had previously done a lot of work Sennheiser AVX wireless systems which also have a 19ms delay, so I knew it wouldn't bother me. It's under half a frame of latency, basically imperceivable in practice. Although adding a 19ms to your wired mics (boom) in the F6 is recommended to keep everything reasonably synced up. The 2.4Ghz does have some limitations but I prefer to park my cart pretty close by anyway. I try to keep the transmitters oriented towards me and I'll throw the receivers up on a mast if needed. In my experience they've been more reliable than most on this spectrum and have a good coordination system in place to avoid bumping in to each other. Andrew Jones and Daniel Woo put out some great info on interference here: czcams.com/video/4AZEGYgi7XI/video.html I'll probably pull a back up recording track for every other project. Most of the time it's just me being picky. I really like the F6 app, but at some point an update disallowed access to settings from the mixer like the PFL menus. It now forces me to use the app if it's connected. I'm also unable to rename tracks if the F-Control is connected. But to answer your question, No. The bluetooth hasn't had an affect on my wires, perhaps because it's LE (low energy) and near field? In any case I'm more worried about cell phone RF than the bluetooth so I try to keep it in my back pocket if I'm bag mixing.
If it's this one, I bet it's made in the same factory. They look identical to my eye. www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1115078-REG/sachtler_sn607_lightweight_audio_bag_small.html?ap=y&smp=y (also love the stock photo of the mixer with a neck strap)
Sachtler bought Petrol in 2014/15 and appears not to have changed the designs. There's a least one video about the Petrol 607 on CZcams. You could watch it and see if you spot any differences.
Andrew, great to see what you are doing with your gifts. Tennis can be such a great development tool. Lack character (patience, perseverance, working problem ability, strength, resilience/persistence/grit, humility) and you really can not develop/learn technique, tactics, and athletics needed to be a great tennis player. God's grace and wisdom is the basis of good character. You have to be a good person to learn anything, do that without God and good luck as we are all weak, we need His grace and wisdom. Blessings to you from Knoxville.
thanks hero
I also use the F6 and I hadn't thought about having a splitter permanently connected to the headphone output. Thanks for the tip!
THANKS!
Thank you... took me hours to find this.
what is the model of the ifb system

Awesome setup. You going to the ATL Mixer Mixer next week?
Looking forward to it! My boom op and I are heading straight there after we wrap for the day.

Nice set up, I use the F6 and the same but I think smaller version of that sound bag and it’s branded Sachtler 👍

@@albertogarcia7966 …yeah, it’s the same. It’s a well made bag 👍 That photos painful 😂
